This is my favorite GNR song, bar none. There's just something about the build up before the chorus. I didn't realize, the way I play this song is half Izzy, half Slash. I learned it when I was around 17. The chorus still makes me want to jump around with my guitar on my shoulder like Slash used to do. DAMN I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

Thanks! When I bend the 1st string up I bend it into the 2nd string and fret that at the same time, so when you release the bend you're getting both notes at the same time. Harder to explain than to perform!

I could do a whole video about that, but in short it was a Fractal Axe FX2 with the Marshall AFD100 amp model with different Cabs for Izzy and Slash's sound. Just a bit a eq'ing and reverb added post recording.

Thanks, believe it or not the tone is 100% digital. Not a single tube or tape reel to be seen. A Fractal Axe FX into Cakewalk Sonar. I'm the only analog ingredient in this.

mattrg470 Nice! I've heard great things about FX systems, but I've always been hesitant on which one to jump on, and a lot just don't have that tube amp sound, but your set up has hit that mark man.

Matthew Scar I use Vegas for the video editing and Cakewalk Sonar for the sound. Barely use what Vegas is capable of though. Glad you liked it!

Thanks! I did have tabs for some of this stuff, but it's mainly from ear and from watching live performances. Also really listening and internalising the songs helps alot too!
