Between June 22 and July 9 Mixmag and Coors Light are taking over Rooftop Nine for a series of very special Labs from the White Isle, powered by Void Acoustics. We've hand-picked some of the finest artists in the game to spin their interpretation on the original Balearic and sunset groove that Ibiza was founded on.
With the sun beating down on the White Isle our June 30 Lab sees us take over Rooftop Nine with Nightmares on Wax.
This season sees Nightmares On Wax take the Wax Da Jam party back to Las Dalias, the oldest discoteca on the island, for four special dates, one a month from June to September. This will mark Wax Da Jam’s eighth season in Ibiza and the theme for this year’s parties is the ‘season of giving’, the party will be happening inside and out with markets stalls, food and more.
Nightmares On Wax recently spoke about how important the smaller events are to the island “We need this as well as the mega clubs. Wax Da Jam maintains and relives the spirit of Ibiza”. They’re managing to do this by continuing to build its core beliefs “The ethos of Wax Da Jam is crowd participation. The people make the party.”
As an ambassador for the charity Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, George is offering ravers the chance to contribute to change with their partying. The charity creates opportunities for the dance music industry to make a positive impact on children in crisis. The aim for Wax Da Jam this season is to donate 10 per cent of their door income to the foundation, so as to help pay to build a well in India or Africa. Which would provide 3000 people with clean water for the next decade. More info on the charity can be found here.

N.O.W is a very talented dj because with a colorful tracklist, the guy always creates a remarkable consistence to the mix.And in my opinion, nowadays only a few djs are able to do that! Showing as a dj that you can play all kinds of music is easy, but creating a consistenc, a real symbiosis between the tunes, to make your story coherent and not boring, this is where the art of Dee-jaying takes place.

You know what my friends, we should build up a community right now that is only for true underground music and dj's.Those people, like the 4 of us ( those who commented me) that really support with their heart and their souls dh's, producers that are doing a true artistic work on their set and prods.I am saying that because i am getting sick to see on one hand, all these fucking overpaid dj's playing shitty mainstream like in Tomorrow land for exemple or on the other hand, those boring dj's that look like fucking jukebox, playing for Hipsters all around the globe, you can see it on Boiler Room for instance.You know what, FUCK THIS!!! Let's go back to the roots, and make music, because it is a way to express our suffering in this world, to spread the message.I think i've always loved BPM music because it reminds me of the Heartbeat.Look back in the history of Electronic music, that is pretty inspiring, isn't it. His track selection is next level. It aint just whatever's rocking the charts - there's thought, intention and flavour! So groovy, soulful and down right funky! It's like a 5 star chef preparing a meal with flavours, layers and ingredients that keep you coming back for more. Keep em coming amigo! Always a fan!
Such a natural flow, letting the tracks do what they were made to do; speak for themselves. George is such a good old fashioned selector. Not many DJ's today are able to strip it right back like he does and make it sound this good. Never forced, pure quality magical selections to form a empathetic musical journey from start to finish. Love the mix. Most Dj's from the urban cities of america sound like this since the 70's. Family Reunions, Rolling Skating Rinks, In The Parks, In The Basements. It's how we all sounded before hip hop, house and techno made it out of Chicago, Detroit, NYC, Philly etc to the rest of the world. My Dad played like this from the late 60's I say all that to say It's so good to see someone from that generation still doing it in Europe AND on a huge platform. Respect, my Man!!!

Deeply soulful and funky...can't stop moving my head to bass lines. What a mix! NOW never ceases to amaze me. The crowd in the back is waiting for the EDM DJ to take over.

I met him after one of his tour dates (Shape the Future) and what a sweet man. Great energy, but really, is anyone surprised about that part? Anyone who reflects like this has a good, deep soul. Trust in this guy to set you right. Every.Single.Time.

I love whenever he brings in Junktion’s song “Visions of You” and hardly alters it other than the brief looping to mix it in and out and the slight key shift and tempo change as he plays the song but literally that is it!!! Its a perfect song and it doesn’t need much work and he knows it. He is such a great DJ. Love you E.A.S.E. !!!!

Thought nothing could compete with the Boiler Room London set, but this is up there! Loved every second. The closing track, when it kicks in and then the shot of the sunrise at 1:27:28 is bliss

Keep re-watching this set over and over, he tries his best to get get the crowd going with music and talking. Unfortunately that crowd is probably filled with low rank influencers are are far more interested in looking good than having a genuinely good time. What a vibe. I wish I had been there.
