One cool trick with the new tram roads is if you take the normal tram track without a road and then only at the stations, you use the new Two-Lane road with median and tram tracks. That makes it look like a platform and the side where you board the tram, switches to being in between the tracks, rather than the outsides. Really cool, due to the fact that we still don't have real platforms for trams yet 😄

Sick interchange imperatur! Only issue is that if you play 100% vanilla (9 tiles only) its way to big to use, this video just shows that 81 tiles should be a in base game, so that everyone can build beauty's like this!

I think that it's remarkable how often good traffic flow happens with beautiful intersections and interchanges, and how often ugly or malformed roads result in bad traffic. Good episode - this does highlight how important TM:PE's lane control utilities are in creating realistic traffic flows.

I`m not even able to build something like this WITH mods. Great work and awesome video

These are the kind of targeted, precise traffic management solutions that I wish Biffa did in his City Fix series!

I had a really conjested 6 lane boulevard through the center of my city Spent an hour rebuilding it as an embanked highway with interchanges connecting to the main arterials it intersected. Had to demolish a bit of my city, but you have to break some eggs to make your breakfast 😅

if only traffic manager came with the game that would make it 1000x better

I think you were successful even at 9:17 although I would have separated the left turning freeway traffic on the on-ramp from the DDI to avoid those 90-degree direct to the left lane maneuvers 😁😉 Edit: you should try the "Appletown" Mass Transit Fix the Traffic challenge next --- due to the horky borky freeway intersections the traffic is SO bad that people aren't getting their services and businesses and utilities aren't getting their raw materials and goods!

The traffic AI and those default settings how intersections set up are the main reasons why I simply cannot play vanilla. TMPE is really needed to preserve your sanity.

Unless you're playing 100% vanilla, you could always use the traffic mod to help with the ai and it's ridiculous merging habits.

The two on ramps in the middle of the highway seems to have bottle neck.

I wouldn't suggest you run it until AFTER you complete construction.

Was it really necessary to build all of this heavy infrastructure? You could've solved problem 1 using a train line (for both cargo and passengers) and problem 2 using a simple traffic light or even priority signs.

Finally console players can have some fun in cities skylines with vanilla dlc!
