We have a lot of Haitians here in South Florida. They are definitely a different species. I think a lot of the women especially suffer from PTSD. And a lot of the men… You cannot trust them.

@@Sag301 ...it has nothing to do with any president. This has been going on for decades, long before Biden and T____.. It started when computerisation was introduced and as more gadgets, sensors, and such added complexity it only got worse. Automakers also began to jump on the bandwagon making it harder to work on a car yourself so you had to take it to the dealer's or one of their "certified" shops. As more tech was added the tools to service it became proprietary to the car maker and dealer and not made available to the general public. In some cases if you did any work yourself you could even void the warranty. Many years ago I said they may as well put a sticker on the hood that reads "no user serviceable parts inside". Crikey it seems you're lucky if you can even change the spark plugs. It's almost become as bad consumer tech. The era of the "weekend driveway" mechanic" has been gone for a while

Mother nature is crying. It's time for us to help fix what we have done to her.

I was lucky enough to buy outright a used mid 90s Ford truck. This was in 2007 and it had 50k original mls. I still drive this truck everyday. I now have just over 250k mls on it. Best thing ive ever owned.

Its very possible, I have a 2016 Hyundai Tucson and since the start of the year I have spent over Well over $2000. ($1200 on gas alone, I drive 50 miles 3 days a week to work, had some repairs and service done $1400, Insurance $435 at $145 a month) . I know the major repair were one off but life happens.

My son have that problem of mentally delay and Celebral pulses but no help after graduation is been hard because of the taking advantage of bosses at work and the way a company puts it is the job .

Good evening

People are not happy with the cost of cars and trucks or the cost to maintain and own them. Why buy these expensive items and throw away good money on bad items. I own old trucks (2000 Ford F250 4-wheel drive) and old vans nothing newer than 2000 and the oldest is 1996. There is almost no cost to own or insure these and maintain them. I do the repair work or get help from a friend. If more people would do this the cost of new ones would come down.

I don't think that cost of ownership figure is correct, but I may be wrong? I keep accurate figures on my 2014 Passat, and repairs, oil, gas, and all replacement parts other than my payment were like 2000 dollars a year.

Insurance is staggering though, and with all of the avoidable accidents, I'm kind of upset that I drive so carefully and everyone soars down the road at 85 miles per hour.

As we get older we have more wisdom and time to invest in others.
