Layla pearson What even is "oneself" Find out for yourself what you tolerate for anyone. You are part of this "anyone" Treat people like they are close friends of yours, and if you are in a situation where you are treated badly, than think if you would accept this happening to a friend. You don't need to understand yourself to love you. Of course, I can just speak from my experience, but I hope I could help you

I wish I could be the real me around people I wish they understand why i'm childish for a13+ (soon 14) I wish when I smile it would be from the heart and not fake I wish when I smile everyday i'm not hurting on the inside I wish i stop being push down I wish to be happy and loved I need comforting and someone to talk to I want to do what I want to do I just wanna live a life with real people and joy and smiles and hug : - ( Edit: I can't believe I stumbled upon my comment after a year. A lot has happened since then I started to cut alot I got in trouble for it I had to do counselling even tho we didn't get anywhere, I drank a half cup of vinegar, I tried to stab myself with the knife but it didn't work out, I made a lot of people worry because I left my house in the night and didn't tell anyone but after all that here I am turning 15 next week and realize life may be bullshit but you should surround yourself with people you feel some type of happiness with, you don't need to open up or tell them anything. Remember your smile bring joy to people you think and convince yourself that don't care, the little things matter. Thank you for all the beautiful comments and I might update on my emotional journey.

This song describes the exact reason I stopped going to church. I realized they were using Jesus and the Bible to make themselves mightier, and forced people to jump through hoops to "be saved". Jesus is for everyone, whether they are Christian or not, and whether they are wealthy or not. Jesus is all of ours because he belongs to more than those select few. This is a beautiful and true song.

You don't feel special, because you are used to yourself. You don't want to make friends so they don't have to see your cracked life? That's messed up. That implies that for you it's ok to live in this circumstance but not for anyone else. Why do you feel that way? What are you telling yourself? And to end this reply: You are not weak, you were fighting way too long on your own. Please get some help. I know that that will hurt, I know that feeling like you are not worthy getting help, I know that feeling that you don't want to be a burden to anyone. And because I know all that, no because I experienced all that, I can tell you that this will be best. It won't work fast, but it will help in the long term.

@@glarak9819 I don’t want to be a burden to anyone especially my friends and family they have so much more going on and I think I can handle my problems on my own plus in the past 2 years they haven’t noticed how much less I smile and harder it is for me to be happy.

❤i can't say i directly relate to this because of the fact that we both live different lives, but i definently know how that pain feels... My family constantly says that i'm not depressed because of the fact that i smile, but i don't smile because i'm happy i smile because i have faith in a better outcome... And they can't say that when they don't know what they put me through. They can't feel the weight of the shattered heart that i carry throughout every single day and they have no idea the how it feels to have those shards stab at your lungs from the moment you wake up until you fall asleep again, because every breath that i take makes it feel im buring up on the inside and drowning all at once... I know that's something they've never known... I just want to tell you that your not alone, and that despite what everyone says. *broken dosen't stay like that forever* Don't give up. The world needs your light more than you beleive that it does.💔

As a Christian who is disappointed at the hate others of my religion spread, this song really hits home. When I realized the people around me didn't actually practice the love they taught I questioned if they really believed, or simply went along with what everyone else did but nothing more.

Exactly! Even 'Vasudhaiv Kutumbhakam' is one of the teachings of Hinduism or Sanatan Dharma. I think that's the case for many people. For me I've always seen religion more as a tradition rather than believe. My philosophy is to not regret a thing on my dying bed. I would regret hurting people, I would regret sitting idly by if someone hurts and I can help them (emotionally or physically) I would regret holding grudges. I've been told that my way of thinking is very clearly tainted by Christianity, but I'd rather not refer to myself as Christian anymore because I feel very disconnected from religion as a whole. Sometimes I wished I could just believe in a higher power if I am feeling low, but that's a completely different story. Enough side tension. I think too many people just take their "default" religion, never really thinking about the implications of being a part of the religion and not really caring about the teachings. If people actually had to honestly try and live by the teachings of their respective religion this world would be a more peaceful and hate free place

*Dear Me,* Please tell me Nate is still with you, tell me you have a stable life and a good paying job. Tell me your loved by your parents now. Tell me Grandpa is happy and fine and Grandma is soaring high... Please tell me that you are happy because I know I’m not right now I’m in an awful situation where I need help but am too scared to ask please tell me you got help. You have better friends right? The fakes are gone. PLEASE tell me you did this. Tell me you are sweet and innocent and have done nothing that could consider to an awful sin.
