@@anon2427 It is a system of audio playback that allows for each speaker to split the x and y projection into 4 pieces, allowing for 8 different combinations of projection direction. Each projection often has an intensity switch, which allows for force projection dampening and boosted surround sound sonic tuning. In more normal human terms, sounds in an 8D audio track can be played as though they are from above you, in front of you, behind you, below you, to your left, to your right, where you are (all directions), and everywhere but you (all directions.). In extra simplified terms, it just means that there are more directions that the sound could come from.

That visualiser, Picture and spinning icon in the left brings me back straight to 2009. I miss those music players.
