Naivety is when you get scammed once. When we repeat the same stupid act of trusting a stranger with money anywhere in the world !?? She has trusted THREE times with a huge amount of money, she faces threats in the form of black magic and thinks that black magic will protect her in return !!! Then she's pregnant and she doesn't find out about hospitals before giving birth ? She doesn't go to see a gynecologist during her pregnancy ? Everything I have just described is not naivety !

Well, to be fair, plenty of foreigners have businesses around the world, including all over Africa… and I mean that are GOOD, legal businesses. They are trusted, they employ many locals, create steady jobs, and are valued and cherished. I can sympathize with the locals not wanting a white woman to succeed on their land, but if she’s helping the locals in the process, such as with employment and benefits, I can’t see that being widely hated-on or rejected. If someone is mad t her, but she’s successful and helping people, they’ll likely just stay away. Foreign business owners exist everywhere. It’s like, I’m American, and plenty of foreigners have immigrated here and made millions, while I have had my own problems-am I to be mad at or jealous of the immigrants? No, we’re responsible for ourselves. If a British woman can, actually, legally get a business license in Kenya, that speaks for itself. Can’t be too mad about it… like i said, especially if it helps the locals and local economy. There’s something to be said for both sides of everything. But she was way too lax about it. She should’ve handled all her official documentation back home, through an embassy or something, before even booking a plane.
New title suggestion for this show. "I am a very silly woman, I shoulda never left my house".

She didn't even try to hire a real lawyer or consultant--ie one with an office or in the phone book, and just started paying large sums of cash to random strangers she met in cafes and on the beach for guidance and documents. We all know Africa is corrupt but she didn't even attempt to go through the proper channels or think perhaps she was being scammed even though she stuck out like a sore thumb being a caucasian foreigner and all.

@mael2039

Not even straight from the government but someone from the British embassy tbh. Or someone approved by them. At the latest when the first person scammed her that should've been where she went. When she had legal trouble that should've been where she went. My parents moved to Ethiopia from Italy when I was a kid and my family was perfectly fine because they weren't idiots. You gotta be prepared for things not to work the same as they do in the UK but she was painfully naive. Literally all of this could've been avoided.

Kenya is ranked among the top 3 countries in Africa and 61 globally, on ease of doing business rankings. Instead she chose the juju, bribery way 3. Sought advice from her white neighbor or better still the very many white people with successful businesses. Infact malindi/ watamu region is called little Italy due to many Italians and Europeans there So it's easy to conclude she is very stupid and capable of being conned anywhere in the world.

Also, this "Mof" seems to be quite useless. He is supposed to be a local, but how could he not have the local knowledge or the connections to help her out? This is beyond logic.
Honestly after the first scare with corrupt police, I would’ve gotten out of there the first chance I had. It’s obvious they had something against her and they showed that they have the ability to twist the system against her however they wanted. The fact that she stayed even after that incident was just crazy. Like a sitting duck basically, for them to concoct another plan against her. What does it matter, as the way mass migration is happening, the UK will be a third world nation within 20 years, as will most western white nations....All in the name of "diversity"...The code anti-whites use for "White genocide" (Population replacement IS listed under the Geneva conventions terms for genocide). This is why they are tripping over each other to come to OUR countries, but no one is struggling to get into thiers except a few dumb ones like this lady. Africa for Africa, Asia for Asians, Mexico for Mexicans, and white nations for EVERYONE? And people don't see the problem with this? How many good did she meet, and how many bad? THATS why current mass immigration will destroy the world. I pray people come to their senses before that day. God bless.

The biggest reason why is because of the mosquitoes! Mosquitoes don't discriminate! It doesn't matter how smart or how stupid you are or how rich or how poor you are! They'll bite you regardless! Use some damn common sense! Every 2 minutes a child under 5 dies of Malaria and it is among one of the leading causes of death in Africa. Even in my own country I keep it at 60-40, just because I lived there for tens of years and encountered various kinds. As for the guy, Ionno, either he was stupid too, a part of the scheme at some point, or both. He was from the area, he should've known better and advise better. But nope, he didn't. The first thing I do to any tourist I chat with in my country is to tell them what they need to be careful of, and what they need to do when it happens.
