The Chromophantasma remixes tended to stray from the original songs much more, for better or worse (imo for better, Yuhki's arrangements went crazy). In contrast these remixes feel much more like expansions, sticking pretty close to the original songs, keeping what works, and adding new sections to extend them further. Given how good UNI's soundtrack already was I really like this approach personally, it's hard to dislike any of the new versions when they're essentially just the original but longer and more polished.

@@quinceymorris2595 Yeah. These arrangements feel less like BlazBlue's "II" series, and more like going from Guilty Gear X to XX. They stay as close to the originals as possible while remastering certain aspects of them and adding new sections.

If Hyde's remix was him stepping it up and fully taking in the mantle of being the 'Unknown Actor', then Linne's theme is the Princess of the Night Blade realizing how much she cares for the people around her which is why she wanders off to face Kuon alone.

1:49 When you're hearing this classic tune on another tab, and this new segment just halts whatever you're doing. Because it's just that damn moving to hear!

This song is like Brutality It just keeps getting better with each instalment.

that slow piano reminds me of the bassline for gathers under night also has a similar progression to the soundtrack used in the prototype build trailer, which then got remixed for the unisc trailer (turns out it's kuon's theme, which makes sense)

This was the first Raito song I've ever heard so the sequel was one I had high expectations for... Raito met it for sure, but not in the way I expected at all. The loopback before the piano solo had so much goddamn bass

The piano solo somewhat reminds me of the character select screen at MBTL

Her, Phonon's and Vatista's themes are still my favorite

The familiar oart is basically a remix of some sad theme from chronicle mode

I like this one a lot! However, I still think that I prefer the original Moon Walker. The piano just hits harder there for me, and even though I love the synths here, it just doesn't feel as "perfect" to me. Great remix though! Definitely deserving of being the sequel track. Also, does anyone know if we can still select the OG tracks in-game? I hope I don't have to leave my precious UNI 1 OSTs behind :c

Seems I have much the opposite first impression as you. I really disliked the way they balanced the synth and piano portions during the main portions of the song in the original, and much prefer this one. I also love the more chaotic drum patterns.

Hm… not sure I like this over the original. The bass doesn’t hit as hard, and I think the percussion is a little too much now

I personally find the old one better.

I don't understand how people despise rushdown characters. They are as straightforward as fighting characters come. Meanwhile theirs characters that shoot you fron across the screen and have infinites that are 100 times worse.
