"Why do movies with high schools always have to show someone being late for class?" I'd guess it's because you can film a cheap establishing shot, using a location on its off day, with no need for extras. 😁
@GoodBadFlicks
2 жыл бұрын
That really makes perfect sense.
They can establish the school with a minimum of extras if the lead is always late. It also informs the audience that our hero is a maverick scoff-law cool guy. Also, This guy has the coooooolest room.

The thought of a monster in the toilet had never occurred to my child-brain. And then a cassette cover informed it that that was a possibility and I was afraid of toilets for a few years. I'd throw a piece of toilet paper or two in as a peace offering before using the toilet. My adult brain laughs at the logic: oh yes, two pieces of toilet paper will surely satiate a butt-eating beast.

Same. I wish I had thought of the peace offering idea before I had to be disimpacted by a doctor who, blessedly, never asked me why I had been refusing to poop for so long (the answer: I was at camp, and my dog was not with me to keep away the toilet goblins. Made perfect sense to me at the time)

I think some viewers thought with Shannon Tweed this flickwas going to be a whole different type of flick.
They way this was reviewed in this video made me feel like it was not a suspense-thriller but a comedy
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Gould when I took a drama class at ASU in the 90s, he was great. At one point he was answering questions about his work, and while most of the other students wanted to know about The Long Goodbye n such, I couldn't help but ask him about this movie, in particular - why? He got a good laugh out of that.

I’m mentioning Brimstone in the comments in the hopes the algorithms (the authority in the universe ) hear it enough they circumvent the copyright holders and release the series on Blu-ray in a nice embossed tin box. With Lori Petty doing commentary but not on Brimstone or Tank Girl but a dissertation on Nana Visitor’s roll on Deep Space Nine.

The echo the dolphin reference is priceless. Sega CD??? I didn’t know anyone remembered that game.
The premise of this story isn’t bad , but the execution is...shall we say shaky. A very good cast though. It sounds like this spectacular is just kind of watchable, if you have nothing else to do. Still, it’s so 80s...!

Okay I'll check it out.
I had 2 separate teachers in my high school, about 5 years apart, who put poison in candy and left it in the teachers lounge for the rest of the teachers.
Would have been bigger if it came out during or after the crazy satanic panic era. They had some well known character actors like Elliot Gould was an A lister in the sixties and seventies. Allen Garfield , Richard Rondtree and Michael J Pollard alone have hundreds of credits. Definitely could have been much bigger if it was released at the right time
You make all these films almost watchable. I believe it has something to do with you noticing simple things that are easy to miss. Like LEAVING THE FREAKING LENS CAP ON! Was the watermelon frozen? 17 victims and they get caught by a Scooby gang reject, yeah ok. Chuck Conners would have been a much better choice.
