Night Routine of an English Student at Oxford

Take a look at my new website where I have started sharing my writing, both online and in print (including a facsimile of the nature journal I kept in Spring): rubygranger.com/

Frequently Asked Questions:
😇 How old are you? 23
📝 What are you studying? I am set to start my MA in English Literature at Oxford this autumn.
📚What are your favourite books? • 200 book recommendatio...
📚 Do you have a book club? Yes! You can join it here for free: fable.co/club/reading-with-th...
📝 Have you written a book? My life goal is to be a published author and make a living from writing and I am using this year to gain experience, build up a portfolio and work on a book with my agent. I have just finished the final draft of that book, as you can see in this video. I did self-publish a book about bullying when I was seventeen which is available on Amazon (amzn.to/3mdJKLm), but I'm slightly embarrassed by it now!
🎃 Do you have merch? I don't have merch in the traditional sense (I can't imagine selling something with my face or name on haha!), but I do have a stationery company where I sell planners for students. These are all designed with students in mind and follow models which I've used when planning my studying. Our products are printed in pastel colours on recycled paper: bit.ly/3wgsR85
🍵 What's your favourite tea? That's a REALLY hard one, but I think I'd have to say the B&B Chocolate Digestive Tea: bird-and-blend-tea-co.sjv.io/youwilllovethisone (affiliate link)

So, I have made it a routine now.. I literally make sure to watch atleast 1 video of ruby every single day. She is just so so inspirational, I've managed to study consistently for long hours and focus for 12 hours every day. Ruby if you're reading this just know that you've been my greatest source of motivation since 2017. Thank you for being such an inspirational creator in this platform ❤️ thank you ruby

Impressive discipline but let me sar you a piece of advice, you should not study so many hours for several reasons, firstly because it is proven not effective for learning and secondly because it is detrimental to your mental and physical health and will lead you to burnout, look at Ruby, she does not study twelve hours unless it is special cases, her life is rich and she also takes care of her physical and mental health, she exercises, walks, does skincare, eats enough and well and finds time to do the things she likes besides being consistent with studying, you can't do all this by studying 12 hours a day

The way you are able to stick to so many habits even after a long day of studying is very impressive. I'm nowhere near as disciplined! But thank you for the idea to integrate dissertation work, even if it's just for 5-10 minutes, into your routine. The enormity of the task makes me procrastinate and i flinch when i even think about it :(

It could be entirely new/unfamiliar words that I don't know, or words that I know but never use, or words that I'm not entirely certain I could use in a sentence. I keep a list then I practice writing sentences with them. Sometimes it turns into a really good writing session. I've been doing this for over 20 years.

A good similar product is the Nuetrogena gel balm both are really nice and very hydrating. And for something thicker if you get windburn or really dry skin during. thewinter is the Avene Balm its thick but very nice to put on the cheeks when you get really raw skin due to the cold!

The vocabulary app is amazing! It's so clearly structured and I love how it shows the phonology as well :D

@@niveditagopinath8328 It's simply called "Vocabulary", it has a white icon with a V in the middle :)

I'd love to see a video from you on how you use a commonplace book! I'm thinking of starting one, but I'm a little unclear on how it would fit into my day to day life.

A great moisturiser is La Prairie, they do lots of different kinds but they aren't greasy and are super effective

As far as moisturizer: I use plain old Cetaphil. I like having one product that works on my face and body and it’s not terribly expensive. It’s also generally good for sensitive skin.

I've only recently discovered this channel and enjoy it muchly. I'm astonished that so many of my own interests are featured: Moleskine, Diamine ink, tea, etc... and then I spot a vintage, hot orange, Raleigh Chopper Mk 1 cycle in the background of a Christmas video, just like my own!

French products are the best when it comes to skincare, especially if they are made with thermal water: Uriage, Avene, La Roche-Posay, Bioderma are some of the most known brands and with the most efficient ingredients based on your skin type.
