Night Horrors of the Jungle & A Man-Eating Panther by G.H. Knowles | An Adventure Audiostory
Ойын-сауық
Writing of his experiences from "those romantic days in India- twenty years previous to the Great War", George Hogan Knowles weaves a narrative in this story that contains a strange hunt for a "man-eating panther", skillfully infused with elements of macabre and gothic horror.
Knowles' words transport the reader (and the listener) to the scene of action right into the heart of the thick jungles of Chhota Nagpur (that is now absorbed among the states of Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh, and Odisha) in the late 19th century India.

I like the fantastical idea of a panther wearing a wolf's camouflage and howling like one to attract its prey. Something a little different. Like from a graphic novel. Very interesting. Thank you brother!

Excellent story.. and great sound effects! the strange howl - u really got a good nice howl there :) wonder what it is really.
@selvalore
Жыл бұрын
Haha, Harshat I hope you didn't think that I made that first howl myself. It was a wolf's howl alright, but to make it sound more "guttural" (as stated in the plot), I used an effect to make it heavier. It turned out weird, and almost sounds like an elk now as some commenters suggested :)

What year did this take place
@selvalore
Жыл бұрын
It said in a different chapter of the book from where this story is taken, that these took place 20 years before the start of the Great War or WW1. So that places it sometime in the 1890's. Around the same time when the Jungle Books were written by Kipling and when Jim Corbett was still a youth.
So an elk?
