This ECOWAS and its Chair Tinubu, and the second speaker after him have not shown that they have learned. And that is shame, a sign of hubris.

It's partially unrealistic to say Nigerians should hold a government responsible because it's hard for 200 million people to unite against politicians who have the tactics of buying votes. The percentage of Nigerians that think deeply in terms of politics is low as expected. That's the weakness of democracy.

Any leader that'll unite Nigerians against the current political system will face torture before he or she has enough influence on people and be silenced. Our population is huge and diverse, we'll suffer from the weaknesses of democracy, until we get lucky.
