I packed it in three glass bowls and I have eaten it yesterday and on Saturday. When I microwave it the flavor comes out and it is smelling all over the kitchen. I even left it out till the next day and the flavor was still there and never spoiled. I am about to have some today with goat 🐐 lean meat. Thanks to kikifoodies. Your recipe is great . I'm so excited to not only Make Jollof rice for the 1st time ever but to taste it for the 1st time ever!!! I'm a somewhat adventurous food tasting person... I have 3 neighbors who live in the upstairs apartment of the house and I'm in the bottom apartment in the house. They are 3 Nigerian young adults who came to Canada to go to university. They have known each other most of their lives and they get along well. I just moved in 10 months ago and so far that I have noticed they have made jollof rice 3 times and every time I have to ask them what they are making because it smells so amazingly delicious and I just have to know so I can try making it myself. They finally gave me their recipe after I had asked them for a suggested recipe online... I have all but one ingredient "all purpose seasoning", also I can't eat hot spicy foods so I'm leaving out the hot peppers and they said it would be fine.. Do you know what is in all purpose seasoning? I didn't see it in the spices section of the grocery store... The recipe they gave me is called " how to make jollof rice in 5 easy steps" by someone named Evi and the country of origin is obviously Nigeria....not Ghana as I know that there is a rivalry between them as to who invented the recipe and who makes it better..lol If you have any advice or helpful suggestions I'd be interested in recieving them... I'm fairly certain that it's going to taste as amazing as it smells cooking...lol after reading the ingredients I'm positive that I'm going to enjoy it immensely.... mmm lol I'm so excited to try something new...

Tricia Barr hey Tricia, All purpose seasoning typically refers to Bullion cube, I.e knorr cube or maggi cube. You typically won’t find it in most stores but you’ll be able to find it online and in Nigerian stores. If you follow this recipe so the book, be rest assured you’ll get an amazing Nigerian Jollof rice. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. I’ll expect your first ever jollof feedback hopefully soon.

@@Kikifoodies if you have any African store around you you can find it there ... but if you can't find it ... simply use other seasons like curry, theme. Maggi, and all it will still come out good ..
