    No matter who you are or where you're from Pink Floyd always brings forth emotions. I've been listening to them since the 70s and they still bring out my emotions. I was fortunate enough to see this tour in the Georgia Tech stadium two nights in a row in Atlanta. They are in a class all their own.

    This is wonderful! I am 66 and have been listening to Floyd since the early 70s. It does my heart good to know that when our generation is gone, this incredible music will continue to live on thanks to the respect and admiration shown it by future generations. It is too special to just let pass into oblivion.

  • @TheDredConspiracy

    @TheDredConspiracy

    15 сағат бұрын

    @@liamreidy1175 uhm, yes. they have acknowledged that on multiple occasions. the band's name is derived from two blues musicians. a lot of their songs incorporate blues structures, if not the stylings, and a couple are pure blues. it may be less obvious on their middle albums, but it is noticeable during the Syd Barrett years, and resurges after Waters split from the band. . it could even be argued, at some points, that there are also strong jazz influences, and with The Wall it becomes evident that their stylings had far deeper influences than just rock or blues. they are hard to pin down now, but they were primarily, in their genesis, a blues based band, and after the split Gilmour and Wright carried on in that vein.

    Pink Floyd is more than music. They are an experience which blends melody, thought and feeling to the point where they are inseparable. So many have had their lives influenced by this outstanding band and the world is better for it. David Gilmour has the most emotionally eloquent guitar on the planet. It lives and speaks! He plugs it into his soul, not an amp! "Sorrow", "High Hopes" and "On The Turning Away" are great tracks by Pink Floyd which you may also like. Nightwish (another band) performed "High Hopes" as a tribute to Pink Floyd ten years after the Pink Floyd 1994 Pulse concert - also very much worth seeing and listening to.
