Apparently it's because his family had issue with his name being used (which is weird because they still called him Jean-Paul and had him quote Sartre)

@@pikachucetthesecond4296 Well, if your dead relative was portrayed as an idiotic and self-centered charlatan I guess you'd want that removed or alleviated. Still, it's funny how they chose to censor him. They could have just as easily changed the NPC to "Philosopher machine" and just have him quote Sartre, but they kept the name.

How do 2B and 9S even see I mean they have hecking blindfolds on. They should be unable to see anything why do they even wear them.

That’s because it’s not really supposed to be a blindfold. It’s supposed to be a combat visor or HUD that gives them information about their enemies and the maps and allows them to see their surroundings better.

Functionally, they're enhanced HUD type things. Thematically, they're blinded from the truth etc

So this reminds me of the side quest where pascal tells 9s “shouldn’t you close your eyes, this is a female Android.” Meanwhile he’s got a blindfold on, oh and plus pascal is a male too. 😂
