Undoubtedly Nicole Scherzinger is the most underrated singer in a generation. What an incredible voice. And as Andrew Lloyd Webber once said, she doesn't just sing the songs; she acts them and feels them.

I agree about her talent, which she exudes in the performance with the four Phantoms but this really doesn't compare with Paige's version. Then again to be fair Elaine's performance is in context.

@@LaGuitarra14 He let her do the iconic Phantom number surrounded by the current and top former Broadway and West End phantoms. And she just killed singing and subtly gesturing for acting while she blew the doors off of Don't Cry For Me Argentina. Both were in the presence of ALW.

She could sing the phone book and it would be amazing. Can't believe I never knew she was actually such a singer. I thought she was just a pop chick. Her rendition of phantom of the opera is powerful.

So much more than a pop singer....that was amazing...powerful, soulful, and emotional.... She is of course also incredibly attractive, funny and talented in so many ways...let’s have a weekly Nicole Scherzinger show on mainstream Saturday night TV just like in the 70s

She is perfection personified. Well except whoever fried her hair with bleach, usually her hair is dark silk to accent her skin and make her look like my Hawaiian Barbie that I had when I was little. I never thought a live person could look like that Barbie Doll, until I saw Nicole

She is so underrated it makes me sad! She deserves more credit than she gets! Voice of an angel!!

I was privileged to hear Nicole sing this live and I must say every goosebump on my body was tingling.

She's had training. She was a theatre student at Wright State University before hitting it big. She did stage performances and singing as a college student. I don't think she graduated though. I think she got her big opportunity before graduating. WSU wasn't a TOP program BUT it was considering its affordability. The musicals and plays the school put out attracted the big wigs in the city annually

She needs to do a covers album, she's so damn good

Her version of this song is so touching, I'm feeling every word she is singing.

This performance doesn't even do her justice. She sounded amazing in the actual show. Make sure you guys KZread those clips. You won't be disappointed. Outstanding vocalist.

After all these years, this song still brings bittersweet tears to my eyes. I first heard it when I was 23 and now I am 55. I can now begin to relate to the lyrics.

Jacquie, same here. I'm 5 years older and I remember first hearing the incredible la Streisand singing this. I sobbed my heart out. Now looming 61 this July 2023, I often think, was I ever that young. Ahhh youth, it's wasted on the young. 😥 Scherzinger is sublime and it's a sad indictment that she's so underrated 💔🌹

Listening to Nicole sing this song had me living the emotions being wrung from the heart of the character and her need to feel love one more time before passing into obscurity. I am crying so hard I can barely type. What a talent! We need more from this artist. And indeed, I plan on binging on her performances RIGHT NOW!!!!!

I’ve heard many different women singing this song (Susan Boyle, Elaine Paige, and Jennifer Hudson). But I think Nicole’s is the best rendition of this song! She has a beautiful, powerful voice, she made it sound so contemplative and emotional. Nicole has an amazing stage presence too! She’s one of those rare gems that can still captivate an audience just by standing there and singing it so well.

GO, NICOLE!!!! WOW!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 I never heard her really sing before and I never heard of her until I started watching The Masked Singer. And the way she puts her heart and soul into a song, WOW!!!!! I can't wait to hear more of Nicole!!!!

Her emotional delivery is always phenomenal. I’m glad she has improved her belting technique now as well! She’s so versatile too-she can sing pop, Broadway-pretty much anything! She’s such an underrated vocalist, she’s incredible!

Saw the original Cats, twice, way back when Elaine Paige sang this and had the audience weeping, Nicole is almost there for me. Amazing rendition and range. 😆
