Nicolas de Staël Paintings - Lessons I learned from his Abstract Landscape (Art Inspiration)

Nicolas de Staël is a French artist known for his abstract landscape and still-life paintings. I find his artwork evocative but hard to describe with generalization. Grays are the predominant colors in a lot of his work. However, he also used vibrant colors, especially in his later work.
In this video, I will be talking about three lessons I have learned from his paintings. I will also share some of the paintings inspired by his work. I hope De Staël's artwork inspires you as much as they have for me.

Nice analysis! Like your observation that there are "no main characters" in the composition. Looking forward to more on de Stael.

de Stael! Great! I appreciate your paintings as well as your insights. You are a fantastic art presenter AND an also inspiring artist. You do a great work at channeling the different styles of these modern masters and in turn create something new.

I like your paintings a lot more than Stael's. You learned what you needed to from him. Time to move on. You should feature your paintings instead of his.
