KZread and nostalgia can make even Salomon Kalou look like Messi but Anelka used to be the player i couldn't stand watching in a Chelsea shirt.Kind of like Alonso right now,no matter how many goals they get lol.

Anelka completely carried the team that season and won the golden boot. Drogba suffered with knee injuries and only scored 5 league goals.

@Ari remember,he didn't score any penalty. Othe top scorers got to 30 plus penalties.
The guy rarely stayed more than a season or two. He stayed four years in blues. That tell how much great this club is.

Anelka is actually a crazy striker. We dont come across that mould of striker as much anymore. A number 9 striker thats dangerous anywhere within 25-30 yards of goal.

Underrated because all his goals were scored simple or scrappy. He did his job perfectly and that was to SCORE.
Drogba went injured at some point and we have no one to backup him..anelka was the perfect striker. Both of them eventually rotate and even play together at times.. those days :)

You are wrong on that, believe me they would batter both Guardiola's & Klopp's title winning teams! The League competition now is not as fierce as when we won it in 2005, 2006 & 2010.

Anelka could have been one of the all time greatest strikers, but his ego was in the way. A 1st class player, absolute brilliant, but he never bowed down and always followed his heart.
