When I was 11, my big brother died. Around that time I started reading PJO in order to more or less distract myself from my grief, and when Nico lost Bianca it hit me like a ton of bricks. I felt his pain, his anger at the world, the heartbreak that came with knowing that someone you loved was never coming back. As the series went on, and as HOO came out, I was watching Nico grow up and not exactly get over it, but how it got easier for him to deal with. In a way, we got through it together. This is why he’s one of my favorite childhood characters, because I saw myself in him in a way I could never see in any other character.

I'm sorry to hear that... I know losing someone we love is always very tough, but losing someone you're so close with at such a young age must have been even harder. Getting over is a very difficult process, but I'm glad to hear that Nico's story helped you deal with this heartbreaking loss. Hope you're doing better now.

One of the biggest lines that hit super hard in the guts for me. The fact that Nico went through more tougher things than Percy and Annabeth together (Which is saying a lot) and he kept his cool and held it together is amazing. He is easily one of my most favorite characters.

I read the percy jackson books when i was a kid, i enjoyed the story but when nico was introduced i felt a connection to him. i could relate to all his anger and how he gets judged for things that he cant control, like being the son of hades like its his fault. hes always been my favourite character and i cant wait until the new will solace and nico series!

I wouldn't be able to say who is more powerful... Percy fought the god of war at the age of twelve, as well as defeated and outsmarted many enemies when he was still very young. Nico is incredibly powerful too. I think both of them are on top of the list for most powerful demigods.

The song perfectly fit nico. Telling that they hold grudges and looking their eyes one can see the demons inside. So, he isolated himself from people who could care for him for a very long time. Luckily, I think he is getting happier in the more recent books.

Honestly, I think I have watched this more then any other video on KZread. A: Nico is the greatest character and B: It reminds me of how Heroes Of Olympus made the worst summer ever amazing. I lost my older brother when I was nine, I'm fourteen and still not over it, I started reading PJO a few days later and when I found out about Nico's loss it reminded me of me. and my brother, it hurt a lot but not much little by little I have overcome it together with Nico, for me he is like my brother, only inside a book...

i finished the series almost a decade ago (i was 12 then, damn) and this edit is making me cry aftet all these years. i love him so so so much ;-;

If I'm not mistaken, in The Lightning Thief, Chiron said that they see God in a different way, like something bigger than the Olympians. We don't see that a lot throughout the series, but that's a really good ideia!

My baby boy!?!? Why you gotta hurt my precious child of Hades!?😢 He lost his mother,Bianca and had a crush on Percy which didn't go in his favour.....And he's so depressed almost all the time while the other campers thought of him as cold,distant and scary. 😓😔 But at least he got Will....He has his golden ray of sunshine so there no need to shed them tears everyone cuz they deserve each other!?😤 I only hope that Rick doesn't kill off Nico cuz there was this one part where the Oracle of Delphi told a prophecy to Hades that both Bianca and Nico will die before they turn 16.😨😱 I'm not sure if this is reliable info but if anything more horrendous happens to my baby,I'mma start a riot against Rick!?😠😡
