Nice review! Sinn 556 is a great GADA watch. Had one for the last year and a half and wore it every single day.

I have couple of pairs of Nicks in W&C, one is Tan Latigo and another is Double Stuffed Natural. I love their leather, so nice and low maintenance and patina is amazing. It will get softer and it does stretch. Keep wearing them, they just keep getting better and better.

My GADA boots is Nick's Officer in Brown Waxed Flesh. That leather combines the advantages of both smooth and rough out leather.

I love waxed flesh in all its colors. I don’t think I’ve seen many officer models in brown waxed flesh. I always see overlanders and such.

Did you go up a width? I found out with Nicks that i have a high instep and i went from a D to a EE. I can wear an E but the EE gives me more toe splay and i love it.

I stayed the same width. Measuring the circumference at the ball of my foot and comparing it to their size chart I fall right in between a D and E. I tried both and the E width is just way too wide at the back half of my foot. Even going down to an 11E felt more loose than I prefer. But I have a weirdly narrow waist and heel.

Hi, These are one off the most beautiful boots. The leather is amazing. I’ve just ordered in tan and prepared for long waiting. What is your experience with the breakdown.Does the leather stretches a bit. They say that it is extremely stiff and has a minimal stretching.

It was a little more uncomfortable for the first couple of days than other leathers Nicks offers that I have. After that it was about the same. It really doesn’t stretch. The tan oiled latigo looks awesome. Enjoy them when you finally get it.

I noticed a flaw. After one month of light wear the stitching on the outer sole has worn out.

@@lgroves336 Have either of you ever worn boots that have stitches through the sole on a surface other than carpet? This is what happens when you actually wear boots. I usually wear through stitching within the first couple weeks.

Not really a flaw. It Just happens. On my Nicks I have V100's and in my first walk a couple of stiches broke and has the threads just hanging in between the lugs. All of the stitching is holding tight on the top just fine, so I think there is some glue impregnated in the thread or some of the glue from the different layers is holding it.

Eh. The way that the thread for soles works is that even if the surface on the bottom is worn away, the thread inside the sole and welt is still holding it somewhat. The way that it's stitched also prevents a single frayed stitch from undoing the entire line of stitches. This all assumes that good materials and a stitch that has every loop lock itself get used, of course. Also: There's not much that of a ridge on a Vibram 430 to separate the ground and the thread on the bottom. My Iron Rangers which use the same sole in the video haven't been used that much, but the threads are noticeably worn already. The lugged pattern and the rubber in general is still solid.
