the reason his voice sounds unusual (but cool) is because the other guy playing guitar is singing too but in a clean and less vibrato way and that with a mixture of his raspy vibrato emotional voice it gives almost like a dual guitar sound

The guy who mades the second voice is an amazing singer too! makes all the difference! And have an other voice from the drummer in the chorus of all his songs.

He is but somehow his growl is just so melodic it’s insane and he can precisely hit notes while doing a howl the entire time insane

My youngest son died at age 20.Joey. This song helped me cry when I needed to,and I listen to it now and remember so much.God Bless and Keep you all safe and singing and rocking it all!

Chad's vocal consistency between the albums and this live performance is so spot on, it's actually scary. You don't get voice by training, you have to be born with it.

it can be trained. It definitely helps if you have to voice to begin with, sure, but it can be nurtured to an appreciable extent.

Exactly! I think part of makes this song sound so good is that the backing vocals are sung as a harmony over almost every line of the song, making it sound so much fuller

I love Nickelback they have so much talent with every member. They have a great sound and their songs have meaning people can relate to. I would have to say they they are the best in the world.

Never understood why they got so much hate. It's hard to not like them, his voice is a damn instrument.

So crazy how time flies! This song came out when I was a freshmen in high school lol. When I saw the music video for this song I remember freaking out and running to my mom like "Mom! Nickleback has a new song!" And to this day currently I still jam to this song and fucking loving it at 26 years old. This is my warm up song everytime I sit down to play guitar, gotta love those beautiful open chords.
