His wife likes college football a lot more. It's not about what is fit for him, but his family, and alabama is the best place for him right now.

Interesting that most of these comments are from 2 and 4 years ago claiming Saban would leave and lobbing insults about him. Since most of these posts, we've won 3 national championships in the last 5 years and Saban is still our coach. Roll Tide haters!

I think if Saban was going to leave,it would've been after the 2012 season,he didn't,though he did leave them wondering(for awhile) and got that raise to 7 million a year.

no ,i don't think so.texas and others have offered him a job and you know they would give him more money.actually coach saban could name his salary if he wanted so you're definitley wrong.

Oh, I didnt think losing to Arkansas AND Kentucky in the same season and still somehow playing for the championship happened every day. I'm not attacking pelini, his team will most likely be preseason top 10, I'm just saying that Miles is not a championship kind of coach, he is more like a constant 9 wins a season coach and will not win another natl championship.

I would hardly call Les Miles a great coach. He got extremely lucky in 07.

@loldecepticonlol 13 "National Championships" is more like it. Just because one irrelevant poll votes you #1, does not make you the National Championship. If you count championship as BAMA counts them, then LSU can claim 8 National Championship.

Nick Saban loves to call Agents scum bc of their greed for money, but he'll leave bama in a heart beat for a better pay check. His resume proves it. I don't blame him, but don't claim he loves bama...he loves money!

Saban will never coach in the NFL again. He hated the NFL because he was dealing with a lot of players (at the time) that didn't believe in his system. As a dolphins fan I was pissed, but things worked out for both parties. Should what happened on 07 been better. Yes. But now NFL GM's are avoiding college coaches because of the fact what they teach to them are life skills in college and NFL players already know the morals or that they have overpowering egos that can damage the team.

LSU was a job he regretted leaving. They should have offered him the moon to keep him. They would have cases full of national titles by now. There will be a day soon that young people in Alabama learn the realities of football. You’re only as good as your coach. We shall see how many coaches they go through when he heads to his retirement home he just purchased down in Jupiter Florida. It’s coming soon. DeBose, Shula, Price, Curry. Bama is not an entity unto itself. Hard shoes to fill as history always tells. And Freeze getting run out of Ole Miss and to Auburn is not good news. The money powers had their way there. Crooked system.

@@SeminoleWind In college football it is cyclic. If Georgia pulls off another title this year then everyone should get settled in because Smart isn’t leaving his Alma Mater.
