Nick Cartell - Bring Him Home - Claude Michel Schönberg, Alain Boublil & Herbert Kretzmer

Nick Cartell can currently be seen across the country as Jean Valjean in the National Tour of Les Misérables, delivering a performance that reviews have called “nothing short of consummate” (Louis Hobson, Calgary Herald) and “outstanding in the pivotal role of Jean Valjean” (Amy Stempfl, The Tennessean). Now Nick is finally Bringing It Home to Broadway’s Living Room at Feinstein’s/54 Below. Mixing Broadway hits old and new, rock, pop, and even a little rat pack, it’s a feel-good evening of his favorites, and yours too. I saw him in Seattle. The sense of the audience falling perfectly silent and in awe of the beauty they were witnessing was incredible. The only other sounds were some sniffles, some ‘wow’s, and the sound of tears hitting the ground. It was amazing.

Why is there only like 307 views on this....This is amazing. I saw you in Cleveland on tour and was completely blown away. This version captures that. Listening to the other version "Bring Him Home" from a couple years ago, and then hearing this version really shows how your voice has matured fantastically. It's just so beautiful. Dayumn.

Hi Nick! I was a camper at Greasepaint Theater summer camp back in AZ back in ‘99 or 2000 when you were working at the theater. You were Curly in Oklahoma that summer and I was in the camp production of 3 Little pigs as the Norma Desmond-esque Big Bad Wolf 😂. I remember seeing Oklahoma that summer and being blown away by your voice the moment you started off the show with “Oh What a Beautiful Morning.” My Mom recently sent me the AZ republic article on AZ actors who made it to Broadway and I recognized your name! I’m so incredibly happy for you and how wonderfully you are flourishing in your career. It’s so well deserved. I wish you greater and greater success. Keep making beautiful music for the world to enjoy!

I saw Nick as Valjean. Incredible voice, truly. I’d also really like to see him perform as Phantom, bc his voice would be perfect for that role too. Thanks for posting.

We were near the back in the balcony at opening night in Chicago. From the start of the show to the finish, Nick was amazing. I saw the show for the first time when I was 9 and it was awesome to bring my 10 year old to see it with me this week. This song in particular, every note was perfect and I have never heard it sung like that. Thank you! you reached everyone in that audience.

Saw him in DC at the National Theater. I've loved this show since I was a little kid, have seen it multiple times and enjoyed it most every time, and the revival show at the National was good, but nothing amazing...until this song. Nick singing this live was the best version of this song I've ever heard, bar none. It was as close to perfect as I'm like to ever see. So thanks Nick, being that close to perfection is always something special :)

We saw our first Les Miserables performance at the Fisher Theater in Detroit on New Year's eve (matinee). We were so lucky to experience Nick's performance. Although we were in the upper balcony, the music reached our souls. I scoured the internet for other Les Miserables performances and I have concluded that I was lucky to experience the very best.

God on high Hear my prayer In my need You have always been there He is young He's afraid Let him rest Heaven blessed. Bring him home Bring him home Bring him home. He's like the son I might have known If God had granted me a son. The summers die One by one How soon they fly On and on And I am old And will be gone. Bring him peace Bring him joy He is young He is only a boy You can take You can give Let him be Let him live If I die Let me die Let him live Bring him home Bring him home Bring him home.

His performance has grown so much since the previous one posted a year earlier. Interpretation much more believable, breath control better, his voice has matured to fit Valjean's age. Maybe it's the room and acoustics, but overall he sounds like Valjean now. And I'm spoiled by Alfie Boe's performances-25th Anniversary on the West End, Broadway, many others.
