Nichols and Shepard-Red River Special- steam plowing at Brown Farm
This video is taken at Brown Farm Pioneer Days in Central City, Iowa. July 30, 2022. The steam tractor is pulling 8-14" plows. Hand operated to lower and raise. The soil is a heavy black dirt and clay mix, making it difficult to pull.

Micah, Thanks for commenting. That was an awesome demonstration and something that is rarely seen. Your dedication to showing the public what your tractor will do is much appreciated. Nothing like that at Mt Pleasant! I hope you will be back next year, as I told my 91 yr old father about it and he is eagerly looking forward to seeing you plow next year. Also put a little fire in me too. Im looking for a plow for my old JD 60 tractor. I may join you if you would be OK with that?
