This was by far the best species profile out here. Most ppl do them and spend most their video showcasing their tank and telling us what we already know. Can you do one on Flowerhorns? Having the worst time knowing what I must do or don’t. Eg…grooming and food. Can two males be in the same tank? How to sec? Thank you so much!

Hi, 2 days back only i bought a Male "Nibochromis Venustu", and today he is taking feed from my hand, the very sad thing is I have kept him in a small tank, and was googling to know more about the species. I found your video very useful and informative. . Thanks and looking for more videos. :)

Gutted. I bought 3 of these fish from my LFS a few months back who told me they would be fine in my 55g community tank. Recently I've realised 2 of them are getting rather large rather quickly. Only now have I decided to do research about them. *slaps hand* it's 1am atm but my best m8 has a 200g tank and I'm hoping I can give them to her so I don't completely lose then and know they will be going to a good home so I will be calling her tomorrow. Thanks for the info! Xx

Good video profile! You've got a radio broadcasters voice. Venustus video is a little on the darkside & doesn't really highlight the fishes great looks enough, but it's easy to be critic and it's better than I could've done. Mbuna Marcus IMHO has some of the best cichlid videos I've seen on KZread. His lighting, screen capture & video delivery is always spots on. Very High Quality Stuff!

I had a couple venustus in a 35g hex. They were both huge and beautiful! One was always colored like a female but still had kind of purple/blue gill plates. That one was about 10.5". They other was definitely a male and had an almost iridescent blue face and yellow stripe down his face. Has was 11". Unfortunately they have been gone for years.

a few years ago i got miss sold one, the shop said it was a small community Malawi lake ciclid... my one turned into a monster one which ate its tank mates. ended up being in solitary confinement, it got to 11.3 inchs. unfortunately it died from a filter failure when i was on holiday.
