Rewatching this almost 4 years after Martyn played this and remembering just how thick he was! 😂 love you and all man but seriously I'm glad you've gained some brain cells 😅

The mist! It made you go to the past!

When the fog came out of nowhere, you traveled to the past. Also, it wasn't Shadar casting the time travel spell. It was someone who wanted to give you Mornstar.

When you exited the princes room and got surrounded by the misty fog. It snatched you to hamelins past.

Marcassin said himself he was the sages son! CHEEZUS MARTYN!

Wow I'm surprised I'm normally bad with time travel stuff but even I know my way around this. Proper simple it is, see, when the mist appeared, you lot traveled back in time to when marcassin was young.

I remember being very confused when I traveled through time. It was so random. But as the story progresses it becomes clear how it happened and how Swaine instantly realized what was going on.

When the fog came, everyone was sent back in time. Prince Marcassin is the peince that you see originally, the one with low self esteem, and judging by the hints in the game, Gascon is Swaine. That would explain why he knows so much about the city, the royal family, etc.

Martyn why do you do the pig voice's in the past when there not in pig suits?

When the mist showed up in the palace. That was when you time travelled, Martin.

Martyn, Marcassin is the one who will be the great sage in the present(future), he was only broken-hearted in the present(future), that's why he doesn't wear the pig suit in the past, but does in the present(future), you seemed to travel through time when you were shrouded in the mist, carnations are a type of flower, the carnation cake is in the shape of the flower. The last naturally occurring case of smallpox was diagnosed on 26 October 1977, so about 36 years. Hope this helps. ^_^

The mist, Martyn. The mist was you traveling through time.

Marcassin is the Prince of Hamelin and the great sage you are looking for but he won't tell you because he is brokenhearted. You traveled through time when the fog appeared. Since Shadar got rid of Mornstar in the present time you were sent in the past to get Mornstar. I had trouble in Tombstone trail so you might want to level up a bit. You can do bounty hunts to do that. You get tones of money, experience and items! I have completed the game so if you need help you can just ask. :)

Martyn, as soon as you get the ability to fly around the world, go to the Mesas around the passage between Al Mamoon and the place where you get the Ship. This place is called the Genie's Steps and you can find an EXREMELY useful familiar called a Dinoceros. they are rare so it might take some timne to get one, but if you do get one, please give him to Oliver, as Dinoceroses are amazing!

Just in case anyone didn't catch this, it was said Oliver could get Mornstar at the shrine. Earlier, Shadar said that he had cast it into a realm without space or time. Since Oliver went back in time, he can recover the wand. :D

Martyn, you traveled through time when the mist appeared. You don't know why or how yet but you will learn why soon. When you traveled through time you met the last emperor, who was one of the great sages whom you were looking for.

Definetly thought so at the bit where Swaine says "No, definetly just imagined it." LOL

Marcassin is the great sage and when you left to go fix his broken heart you were in some mist which made you travel back in time(i suspect that god person with the bird mask on did it). Then when you went to the past you met the emperor who is marcassin and gascon's dad. i also have a feeling that gascon is swaine which is why he has so much intimate knowledge of marcassin. the bird mask guy sent you back in time so you could get mornstar, and i think that is about it.

Interesting that "Granny Owl" is still old in the past. She must be a vampire!!! That's why she lives in an underground city! It all makes sense now!

Maybe you and a couple other people got it but Martyn will play the game the way he wants to play it and be as confused as he wants. I didn't get the time travel thing, with the mist, doesn't mean you have to get frustrated. I didn't know that they time traveled before i read a comment. Martyn asked "When did we time travel?" He did not ask to be rudely judged and made fun of.

Martyn: 1. Nix is an effect that will take an effect later in the game. I believe it prevents you from using magic for a while, so nix-be-gones are awesome. 2. I really recommend saving more often.:D Just in case. 3. You traveled through time during the mist, BTW. 4. I guess it'll actually be explained a bit more later.

Martyn, there's a set of 3 islands a bit to the right of the top middle of the map. They are awesome for training because of a rare monster Toko that gives 2k xp per kill. ^^

Hahaha, the one thing he doesn't notice is the pig suits! XD So if they were being chased by pig suited men, and then the fog, then non-pig suited guards, and the people out in Hamelin not in pig suits, the fog caused your teleport back in time.

When that mist came, is when you traveled through time.

You traveled through time while you were in the fog, Martyn. You can also get Mournstar now because it was before Shadar had disposed of the wand in the future.

You travelled back in time when the most came down. The emperor is the sage, the prince was supposed to take over from him. The older brother, gascon, ran away and changed his name (to swaine) due to arguments with his father, but when he realised the Prince was making a mess of being the heir, he decided to return and sort it out (joining your party to get passage across the sea). Clear now? :-)

Martyn, from my understanding the mist took you to the past, thats why no one is wearing pig outfits and the guards armor is different shadar took the mornstar in the future, were in the past, he probably hasnt touched it yet. were still missing details as to how Gascon "died" 15 years ago according to Marcassin from the future and where the mist came from.

The mist made you travel, that's why the guards looked different from the normal pig guards

Swaine always seemed to me like he'd fit right in as a Doctor in the Doctor Who series

Okay Martin this is what happened: you finished talking to the Grand Sage/Prince of Hamelin and when you left is room this weird fog came and took you backwards through time to when the Grand Sage/Prince of Hamelin was a kid and his father,The Emperor, is still alive. This is how Swain knows him because Swain was at Hamelin while The Emperor was still alive.

It gave pretty obvious hints like Oliver thinking he knows Gascon then Swaine quickly telling him it's imagination and Swaine Knowing things about the emperor when clearly he shouldn't if he has never even been to the city.

The mist sent you back in time, makes sense that Swaine is Gascon as well, has same attitude towards Emperor.

Martin remember the last cutscene of Shadar? There was some guy spying on Shadar and the White Witch's conversation. He must've sent you back through time to get Mornstar before Shadar made it impossible for you to attain it by using the fog. Oh and Swaine's so obviously Gascon.

You went back in time when the mist appeared, it was casted by Gallus or 'Doodle Doo' as Pea calls him. Member of the Council of Twelve. Mornstar still exists in the past and you get it when you beat the boss CANDELABRACADABRA.

Based on the way that Swaine talked about how he knew the Hamelin royal family, I would guess that he IS Gascon.

Listen up Martyn! You go caught in some sort of mist which took you back in time to when a different Emperor ruled and The Great Sage was just a prince (Marcassin) but there is an older brother, Gascon, who you know doesn't become Emperor. I'm guessing Gascon is the younger Swaine which is probably why Swaine has a grudge against the Emperor (his father). Meaning Swaine is the Great Sage's brother, the whole reason he joined you after seeing the picture Oliver had. Like so he can see :)

the mist was probably a form of magic that sent them through time. it was most likely shadar i think so he could eff up more stuff in them being away :P but thats just me :)

Martyn, I am able to understand the story, if you recall on episode 32, there was a council member that said, "Mornstar..." He plays a role in your travel.

I find it logical WHEN he time-traveled, but the question I'm having is HOW? Who caused the mist to appear, and why? That is confusing.... But I guess I will find out next episode :P

I haven't played this but my guesses are:Swain is Gascon, You traveled back in time due to the mist, and you can get the Mornstar wand because Shadar never hid it yet.

Martyn, you travelled through time because of the myst. You are in the past when Marcassin, the great sage, was a kid. Gascon is Swaine, that is why he "remembers" everyone. This is not a spoiler, by the way, since I haven't played the game and only figured it out. He changed his name to swaine (swine? given the pig theme) in search of his objective since he is useless with magic. Also, remember that Shadar hid mornstar? you will get it from the past, where it still isn't hidden. Hope it helped.

THEORY TIME! The fog made you time travel, it was probably Shadar that made you do that. You've now gone back in time, and that thing (I've forgotten it's name, but it was based off of the White Witches councilmembers staves) Shadar ripped from the fabric of time and space hasn't been ripped yet. You're probably going to get it whilst you're in the past. Swaine is the future Gascon, which explains why he looks familiar to the prince and holds a grudge against the emperor and his favouritism.

You also can get Mornstar now because it is before the time when Shadar put it out of your reach.
