As per IS 3861 it clearly says that Plinth area is calculated only for ground floor. In KMBR also there is only one point where plinth area is mentioned “plinth area’ means area of the building at the plinth level, and shall not include the area of open porch (not enclosed by wall), uncovered staircase; It also clearly says area of the building at plinth level. Then how does plinth area includes the area of floors above ? Total floor area includes all floors.

My house is of 293.00 SQM BUILT IN 2009 . TILL 2009 - 2014 have been paying Rs2000 has luxury tax, From 2014 -2019 it has been increased to Rs4000. Now from Village office they are saying I have to pay Rs 11000 that is arrears Rs 1000 of 2019 and 2020/21 R s5000 , 2021/22 R s5000.
