They need to make an updated version with the 2015 ECQF and the recent Tom Wilson incident this past season, those two events led to even more hatred and spark between the two teams and fanbases

Sucks this was made before the 2015 second round series.

This is the Giants vs. Redskins of ice hockey.

That 1986 series was one I'll never forget, As a Rangers fan, I didn't hold out too much hope they would get by 2nd overall Philadelphia in round 1. But something was different. Part of it was goalie John Van Biesbrouck. They won 6-2 in Game one and didn't look over matched at all. Bu then when they had to play a deciding Game 5 in Philly, I really didn't think they would win. They did, 5-2. It was hard to explain. I was euphoric. Then they played the 3rd overall Caps. The Rangers hadn't won one game in OT the whole season, and then they won Game one in OT. The Caps demolished them in Games 2 and 3, and then the Rangers came back from a late 5-3 deficit to tie up Game 4 and win it 6-5 in OT. They then won Game 5 and 6 to take the series in 6. If you compared man per man both the teams the Rangers beat to make the semis in 86, you would've easily concluded that both were superior to the Rangers by quite a bit. But the Rangers got the great goaltending and everything went right. They got the breaks. It was magical. So even though these two teams have had some awesome series since 2009, 1986 is the one that sticks out more than any. Ask any Rangers fan who's old enough to remember and they'll tell you it seemed magical. The Rangers made the semifinals by beating, in Rounds 1 and 2 respectively, the teams with 2nd and 3rd best records overall record in the NHL. Then Esposito became GM and chaos reigned for three years.

Oh My God where 2014-15 playoffs when we beat caps again in 7 from 3-1 deficit. Ovi will hurt even more after that series. What a great rivalry being a ranger fan if they are out I can say I would want ovi and holtby to win a cup. They deserve it

Bah! Nobody gives a rat's a** about us Capitals unless we are waving a huge sign that says "talent for sale". As a Caps fan for nearly 2 decades, I admit the Rangers have been a thorn in my sight, but they are not our biggest rivals. That will be the Penguins.
