When you think of all the time a guy has spent on the ice since childhood, all the practices, games, teams and journeys, and then score 100 assists in one year in the NHL, and everyone recognizing it.. pretty nice moment. Give God the glory

Yeah, they need to stop doing that. I have faith that won't happen in the playoffs. Once it became 6-1 I'm sure they knew it was over. But that's no reason to let their foot off the gas. Keep piling on the pressure and don't give them chances. Most teams would fold at a 5 goal deficit, but not the Leafs.

From an offensive point of view yes, but overall, with his defensive metrics, I still think you could make a case for Matthews. Mac probably wins it though, he doesn't have one, which is a factor when there is this tight of a race, but anyone of these guys could win it and I wouldn't feel like anyone got snubbed. All 4 of them deserve it in one way or another.

Мэттьюз потел,как черт,12 бросков и 0 голов в матче.Потому что надо было 70 затолкать любой ценой,для итоговой статы....А Кучеров и гол забил и передачу 100-ю отдал,а мог и больше, если бы партнеры реализовали.И играл в своем обычном,рабочем режиме.100 передач,44 шайбы,144 итоговых очка в сезоне и попадание в 5-ку лучших игроков лиги за всю историю НХЛ.Мощнейший сезон Никиты Кучерова!

What a superb night of hockey! That game was so entertaining! So much skill, all the story lines… I had an out of body experience mid game when I realized I was rooting for the leafs (I’m a Tampa fan), but I would have loved to see Austin get number 70. Congrats to Kutch, you’re a monster!
Great performace Kutse! (and McDavid too). But it breaks my heart that Auston Matthews didn't reach the goal no. 700. It was so close! I hope that AM34 will get over it.
Playoffs haven't even started yet and Leafs' big guns have already stopped scoring...

Can't wait the season highlights of Kuch Ohh my.. Definitely the best season ever. the Hart trophy race Unbelievable race in Eastern for the wildcard NYR with the franchise record McDavid and Kuch both hitting a 100 assists and in top 5 of all time Matthews near the 70 This season was insane 😱🤯

Tavares' lack of team camaraderie after his late goal shows you everything about this Leafs team and the kind of leader he is. Leafs are going to go out in the first round once again. Would love to be a fly in that locker room after this game.

Almost 30 shots for mathews in his last 3 games and all he had to show for it was 1 goal 😂 and people think he belongs in the mvp conversation? He wasnt even the best goal scorer this year that was sam Reinhart who has 57 goals while scoring on almost 6% more of his shots than mathews which is insane.

Kind of fitting William Bystander shows how effective he is with 2:08 left in the 2nd when he just skates off the ice when TB has the puck in their own end. One pass and it’s 5-1 TB. Nice contract Bystander is getting. That play shows Leaf fans what their future is.
Matthews looked like he couldn't care less if the Leafs came back to win if he wasn't going to get the goals himself..
That 1:5 was one of the most bizarre goals I have ever seen. Why do the two defenders just stop playing and stand around in the neutral zone? Daydreaming about golf already?

Tonight's game vs Tampa was horrible. HORRIBLE!!! Kucherov gets 100 assists while Matthews didn't get 70 goals. That is a bullcrap night. Matthews deserves 70 goals. Not Kucherov's 1000th assists
