Showed the Pens mental strengths by withstanding such a late comeback from a spirited Bolts side!! Congrats to Pittsburgh, previous experience helping hold things together I'm sure!!

*Oh man, what a nailbiter toward the end there! Thank gawd for Bunting! Honestly thought the Pens were going to pull another classic "third period crumble." Lightning played a hard-fought game as I expected they would. Hoping that ref and Fleury are all right - ref took the worst of the collision.*

WOW !!!! The old guard says we have more left. I love seeing a team make a charge for the playoffs. As a Hawks fan, I still enjoy watching greatness on other teams.

You can't but marvel at how Pittsburgh just entered the playoff picture from absolutely nowhere. They were dead and buried, plus they had lost Guentzel, and their megastars Malkin and Letang were underperforming for most of their games, but for them to not only win this game, but tie with PHILADELPHIA, of all teams, in the wildcard table paints a signature headline. Just imagine if they get in ahead of the Flyers. Just imagine. 😂

It's more about the teams ahead of them just taking a dump in bed to allow such a weak team to catch back up, though I guess that also speaks to how bad that teams are as well.

The most Pens game ever. Malkin is turning back the clock for his parents 🥺🥺 That redirection through the legs has to be up there with Kovalchuk’s rush for one of the best almost goals of all time.

Amazing game by both teams. Tampa is very strong but Pens was a great at the end... this is the one of the best games this season !!

Сумасшедший матч. Пингвины как будто обрели вторую молодость. Рано еще говорить о выходе на кубок Стенли. Радует что не смотря на то что их уже списали, они борются до конца. Рад за Малкина что становится одним из лидеров в команде. Также за Кучерова, он сегодня набрал 3 очка.

Матч выдался интересный и захватывающий! Тампа много позволяла Питсбургу на своем пятаке и в т.ч. по броскам! It's certain players doing the rush, the offense is their best defense you're right but they can't play an entire game. Their lower end players need better possession training.

Game of the year. This contest had playoff fuel dripping from it at all times. Crosby and Malkin showed up big-time. Not bad for a couple of late 30-somethings, ay?

The finish was incredible! Tampa were moving the puck well and creating lots of exciting chances but Pittsburgh found a way to keep the puck out of the net. Proper energetic commentary as well.

Pens still have rhe the islanders, philly, detroit, washington to get that last spot. Thats exciting and beating the bolts is no easy games in fact the way they are playing it was a nightmare matchup. Like the wings and the rangers last night, they have them all they could handle but the rangers with 5 mins left in the game got the winner. And the caps had a 2-0 lead on the canes who were outshootimg them like 35-13 and it caught up with them as the canes tied it and won on a pp goal with 2 mins left lol. All that helped pittburgh and philly losing ro buffalo was very helpful. Philly have lost like 4 straight and the caps have lost 5 .. this is all why Pittsburgh are even in the sweepstakes now. 5 teams one spot and like 5 ganes left. Good luck pens maybe last years bad luck will turn around and the opposite happens

It’s very, very weird to see them being underdogs. I guess a couple years back vs the Rangers was the same thing, and they should’ve won that series, but this is definitely the most underdog I’ve seen them since before Sid could drink in the US.

This game felt so old school. Potato camera certainly contributed to that, but the names, the plays and announcers were on fire!
