As lights out as he's been, he's bound to have a less then perfect game once in a while. The 18 guys playing in front of him returned the many favours they owe Demko by bailing him out with some big time goal support, and Thatcher did make the key saves he needed to make, never once giving the Devils a tying or go ahead goal, just letting it get a bit closer then the game should have been. The Connor Garland goal was huge, as it crushed a Devils rally. Those goals are real momentum killers. Another enemy net decorated by the Garland.

Hopefully the resurgence of the top line started tonight. Miller, Pettersson, Boeser, Kuzmenko etc. had been non-existent for a number of games, and really needed to make more of an influence on the games they play. This game felt like Miller Time.
If the Canucks make the playoffs, they cannot cannot play Tyler Myers. What lead to that second Devil's goal was because Myers pinched in with less than a minute left in the 2nd period. As a defensemen, why on earth would you pinch in when you are up 3-1 and your forwards are scrambling for the puck along the boards? Myers couldn't get back into position when defending the rush and it lead to the Devil's goal. Myers has no brains. Too many times his mistake is the difference between a loss and a win.
