@@DeltaHighlights I just want to say, I'm so f*cking tired of "Best of all time" clips not including anything earlier than..let's say 2005 or so. I know the further back you go, the harder it is to find clips, so I have so much appreciation that you managed to include some of them(and mad love for those 2 waaaay back clips). I'm a life-long Devil's fan, I think you missed some of Brodeur's best, but there's also a serious lack of goalies like Fuhr, Hextall, Plante, Roy, Sawchuck, etc (I think you know what I mean). But also, I can't hold that against you, I know how hard it can be to find clips of them.

@@DeltaHighlights Oh man, I really hope listing some names gives you some more chances. Also, I now really want to work to help you post clips of them so more people see it. Anyway, some more names...Joseph, Smith(a standard before the 90s wave), Belfour, Esposito, Richter, Vernon, Dryden, Osgood, Barasso, Worsley..that's just off the top of my head(and sorry for the spelling, it might be wrong sometimes). But finding clips of some of them will be near impossible, and again, I can't fault you for having difficulty finding clips of them, but I do hope in your research you learn more about our awesome sport. Also, I'm specifically excluding some from before ~1950, because clips of them are gonna be pretty much impossible. Though, going with that time frame, Georges Vezina(for obvious reasons).

As a goalie, my favorite save was from a playoff series between Minnesota and St. Louis probably 5-8 years ago. It was back when Allen and Elliot were both on the team still and I think Allen was the goalie. The Wild had a 2 on 1 and when they shot it Allen didn’t even move. He just calmly caught the puck. He knew where it was going and was so locked in he didn’t even flinch when the shot came. It wasn’t flashy but it just showed a goalie who was just at the absolutely most elite level they could be. It was one of the most impressive saves I have ever seen but it’s never really in highlights like this because it just isn’t flashy.

I think CuJo was the first goaltender to always give it his all all the time. He had a really robust skill set that allowed him to make some insane saves that other goalies would have given up on. After CuJo you start seeing more of these types of goalies who give it 110% all the time, like Brodeur, Fleury and Price, but these goalies for the most part had stacked teams that gave them room to breath. CuJo kept that Edmonton team alive so often.

@dudemantoys2061
8 ай бұрын
Roy and Brodeur were better, just to name 2! Hasek was lucky they didn't learn to lift the puck off the ice. He was incredible, but by no means the best. And how was he allowed to always throw his stick away when making those flopping saves? Should of been penalties on many of those, but people thought it was cool, cause he was only one doing it, so it was allowed. Dropping your stick to grab a puck is one thing, but throwing your stick so you can make a save you probably couldn't with stick in hand, should of been a penalty. Oh well, it looked cool I guess, when he flopped around and got lucky. Only goalie luckier in the NHL has the garbage Grant Fuhr, he was so overrated it's not even funny. He would stand there and a puck would hit his glove and his cocaine reflexes would kick in and he would swing his arm like a mad man and people would think he made a crazy save, when the dude shot it in his glove lol

Overtime against the Czechs, Rogie glove saved a 20-30 foot slap shot to his left at point blank range. The Czech player put his hand to his head in disbelief. I couldn’t believe it either.

@@myth8644 Yeah it's really unfortunate how hard it is to find clips of them. I did look up clips of all the guys you mentioned and more, just had no luck finding them. I'll give it another go for when I make a part 2! Any other goalies I should check out?

So many unbelievable saves! And I'm only 9 minutes in!
Love seeing these old blues clips. Such a great history. Go Blues!
Dominik Hasek is by far the best goaltender the NHL has ever seen. He was so incredibly dominant during his time in the league and what's even more insane is he became a starter at 29 years old.
@dudemantoys2061

I just got so hyped for the first time in a while. That Miikka scorpion save still feels incredible!!!
Never played hockey in my life, but did play it in gym class, and I once made an unreal parry with my stick to deflect it over the goal. I was so hyped. I can only imagine how those gks feel after a good save
I am always incredibly sad that Carry Price will never get a Cup. Def one of the best goalies of our modern era hockey imo. like god damn
Great video. Rogie Vachon had a truly spectacular and ultra-clutch save for Canada in a (late 1970s-early 80s?) international tournament. Esposito and Orr played in it too. Championship game. Overtime against the Czechs, Rogie glove saved a 20-30 foot slap shot to his left at point blank range. The Czech player put his hand to his head in disbelief. I couldn’t believe it either. Canada went on to win. Thanks to Vachon.
You put my 2 favorite saves all time in a row. Nabokov and Caron. Absolutey unreal saves.
Quick and Holtby were just the best man

That Binnington save, St. Louis VS Boston, helped the Blues win their first Cup ever. That may be the best save of a St. Louis goaltender ever!
Carter Hart has had some spectacular saves in his young Flyer career. Would love to see him on one of your videos.
The Save by Holtby. Still remember how shocked I was not to see the goal light go off
You clearly put a lot of effort into finding so many saves from multiple different eras of the game, respect. =) Great video~
jonathon quick is easily one of the best goalies ever, a whole compilation could be made on just his iconic saves
Tuka will always be remembered for that save!
It’s amazing how much net you could see behind the goalies up to the early 90s. They had to rely so much on athleticism and baiting shooters with what they take away vs what they give up. Then you got guys like Hasek just flopping and flailing around the crease but with elite skill and acrobat precision.
I'm glad fleury's cup winning save made it in this reel. It's shocking to look back on it and see there were only 2 seconds on the clock because at the time it felt like forever watching that play
These saves are absolutely wild!!!!!
Such a great win for the blues! Kyrou is certainly loved in St. Louis if by no one else by me. I saw him in Nashville when we scored 7 goals in a period and I saw Kyrou for the first time and he scored and I was like 'woah... that kid is good'. Fast forward a couple years and I bought his jersey. I am repping Kyrou and always will as long as he is a Blue!

How he let some of the audio stay over the start of the next save was a nice touch. I always hated it when they would cut the video and audio a second or two before the announcer finished his thought.
Touca Rask was one of the most underrated goalies in my opinion or he wasn’t talked about as much as other goalies of his skill

The one of Cristobal Huet against Detroit (I think it was Datsyuk) in the playoffs. Huet left his right pad in the air to make the save. Wow!

Great one for pt. 2: Cal Petersen's scramble glove save against the Rangers right before their game-tying goal.
Has soon as I saw the picture, just wanted to cry😢 Go Vegas !!!
I remember watching the 2012 playoffs very intently, especially since my boys made it to the Finals against the Kings. At the time, that Bryzgalov save on Letang was probably the best save I'd ever seen in the postseason. Then, Brodeur made that scorpion save on Gaborik and a diving stop on Staal in a prior game that wasn't featured here. That diving stop is the greatest save I've ever seen in a game I was watching.
2009 Stanley Cup Finals Game 7. The young Pittsburgh Penguins getting a rare second chance against the Titan Detroit Red Wings in the Finals. This time, Pittsburgh won the series and got their revenge. Marc Andre Fleury sealed the victory with one of the best saves ever against one of the best defensemen’s ever. History making save right there.
Hasek on his own has at least one unbelievable save in each team he's ever played with and that will survive through time! For his size and weight, what he could do still amaze me! In modern era, my favorite is Quick triple save on the same play...it's just sick! Wow! One of the least incredible saves here is from Fleury. Has it been a season game instead of a Stanley Cup, no need to put it here. I mean, you can't compare that to Holtby's save in game 2 of the Finals? Still pretty awsome compilation overall! A toast to the Keepers!! Cheers!
Even if I am not a fan of any NHL team, these goalies saves really make fell like a fan of the NHL team (with the goalie that saved) 😅
HOLTBY...HOLTBY...HOLTBY!!! "The Save" I'll never forget that moment.
That holtby one was crazy completely changed the series Vegas never looked the same after that save

These are more exciting than great goals.

The only thing as impressive as goals in hockey is the saves. Spectacular
O man awesome video
You should include a few saves from the Hamburglar run (save with head vs Winnipeg, glove robbery vs LA in the final minute of game and glove robbery vs Carolina)
There has to be some context for that Joseph save against Dallas that was in overtime. They then went down to the other end and scored eliminating Dallas I think at one point Edmonton they were losing by three goals I watched that game. It was amazing.
3:12 is an all-time great just because of what was on the line, same with the one on Tuch earlier in the video
