You’re taking on a team that can take care of business efficiently both in the north and south and at the same time, a team that is working together even in the absence of an individual. I applaud the Canadiens for their efforts but this isn’t the 1980s where you can use your trump card as a ‘get out of jail’ card anymore it requires a team effort and most importantly the flexibility in different lines to win the Stanley cup, which I don’t see from the canadiens.

They've gotten the hot hand at just the right time.

Tampa reminds me Detroit back in the days in times of Yzerman, Federov, Datsyuk, Draper, McCarthy, Lindstrom, etc. The way they play is like a train that never stops and run over everything :) Love it.

I see a lot of comments blaming Price, only 1 goal this game was weak and even then Vasy let in a weak one too. My point is when there’s 2 on 1s, 2 on 0s and no rebound clears even the best goalies look bad. It’s not Prices fault it’s his D making a lot of sloppy turnovers and minimal efforts. They’re simply gassed and he’s being bombarded.

First two goals were already weak.

Habs did well to make it to the Finals. Aside from my usual disdain for the officiating, I think its safe to say, that the fat lady has sung and last call has come and gone. Congrats to the Lightning for being the first team in some time to repeat as Champs.

I agree, Romanov is the same as Merrill or gustafsson. A lot of turnovers 🤷🏻‍♂️ the difference is that Romanov is physical and he hurts bad, you need this against a team like Tampa.

As a habs fan, all I can say is gg Tampa, you were hands down the better team, but I'm proud of my habs for doing a comeback against Toronto, sweeping the jets and beating Vegas. This series ended up for sure much later than I thought it would.

In a given match up of these teams against Tampa right now id be putting money on these more than Tampa. If tampa wins a cup next year I'd say it is one of the dynasties, but best?... beating the miracle run of the stars and then the 18th overall team doesn't put a team in the best of all time.

There's been like 6 huge giveaway goals in this series alone

The typical year where an underdog team blows everyone away to get to the final, and the clock strikes 12 and they have no idea what they're doing there and get swept. Makes for one BORING Cup final.

TJ is a good player but he is outshined by the other forwards on the team and he hasn’t been as good as he was in 2015 after he broke his wrist in that playoff run.

@@BlackAngel66678 in 2015 Chicago was 8 million over the cap when they beat Tampa. Tampa proposed a rule change that would prevent this from happening, no other team voted for it. They have every right to win this way.

Yeah, you can't rely one guy. Habs got all those lucky OT bounces as well. You can't keep that up forever. Habs played as well as an average team can play. Even Habs fans were shocked by beating the Leafs.

That was pretty humiliating. Price could have been so much better than this, which is so unfortunate considering how great he has been for the first three rounds. I'm losing my hopes. At this point, Tampa deserves this cup, they are playing so well, but I will still be proud of the Habs for making it that far.

We all know that TB will win. But i would have prefer to see Mtl with the cup. They are playing well but luck is clearly on TB side. But TB is TB, they are still the best and the most complete team within the NHL ...

That happens when your d men constantly turn it over and put you in 2 on 1 or 2 on 0 circumstances and never clear rebounds. Price is the only reason they made it this far. Tampa is too good to be this sloppy with the puck.

@@bl4596 i am still cheering for the Habs but AV is playing lights out between the pipes - Tampa took a lot of bad playoff exits for a few years and they're very hungry to erase all those painful exits. Hopefully Habs can build off this year.

Canadiens look so overmatched in this series. Tampa is at another level.

Like to see Tampa Bay Lightning going for 2 consecutive Stanley Cup Champions. Florida should be a hockey state. Also, I like to see Tampa Bay Rays for the MLB, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to win the Super Bowl LVI and have a shot at it. Tampa Bay could be a "City of Champions", but Tampa Bay do need the NBA team and they are working on it, so Tampa Bay will have Big 4 professional sports since 1976.

I haven’t been able to watch any of the games live so I have a question. Is Stamkos playing? I haven’t seen or heard of him in the last few game highlights.

@@macrost8935 Even without the players that are causing them to be over the cap (Johnson/McDonagh) Tampa would still be in the Finals. That’s how deeply talented they are. Also, Gaborik and Nilsson, who haven’t played are also the main contributors in being “over the cap”

I called it before the series started, Price will cost them... he always does.

Price is obviously not performing as well but it's quite shortsighted to state that he's singlehandedly costing us the games. look at the turnovers some of our D have been making

carey price really needs to have better rebound control, its great he blocked a shot but he just stands there still instead of making sure to actively look for that rebound so he can use his stick to get out of the way or make sure to freeze it, he's relying too much on his defensemen to find it, which they should also but he can't just stand there still.

I like Price and I agree with this. For real, now that you point it out you're right. He totally has to work on having better rebound control. He blocks it once and then he can't block it again and it always goes in. Not good.

I can't figure out if the Canadiens were on the ice tonight or it was just one team playing...
