This is one seriously awesome series. All 3 games have shown top notch skills from both teams. Too bad it's only a best of 7 series.
I work in the hockey industry as a skills specialist. Out of respect for the game we always revere the past great players. And we should continue to do so. But make no mistake, and Wayne has said so himself, McDavid is the best player to ever play. This is referring to his physical/technical abilities. It’s not even close. To compare an athlete today in any sport to athletes that played 30-50 years ago is not practical. The technological advances in players equipment and training leaves too much of a gap to effectively compare. What would Mark Messier look like as a player in todays game? He’d be a better skater for sure and he was a great skater. He’d be even stronger than he already was. What would Gordie Howe be like as a player today. He wouldn’t have the space he had back when he played because he would never have gotten out of penalty box. The game is so radically different today you just cannot compare. A player like McDavid is a machine. The nutrition regime is an exact science. No hot dog and cokes before games. His macros are dialled in perfectly. Scientific eating and supplementation, players wear technology during practices and workouts that tracks performance of body systems. VO2 max in (layman terms = the measure of the maximum amount of oxygen your body can utilize during exercise. The amount of oxygen in the blood that can be delivered to the muscles. The higher the VO2 max the lower the amount of lactic acid build-up. McDavid is off the charts. Most of that is genetic but then you add in the training he receives etc. We shouldn’t be comparing but simply enjoying and celebrating each athletes talents regardless of what team they play for. It’s only a game for us to be entertained with a bring joy to our lives. There is so much in life that is heavy and to be angry about but hockey should bring people together in friendship.

@@tylerdurden4006 yeah honestly both these goalies are getting a bit too much hype. Smith was lucky his pass to Matthew didn't go in and now it looks like some cool highlight which I guess it is. Markstrom is just a shell of his first round self. I guess the momentum change from the slow stars to the fast oilers hit the flames too hard.
Amazing how Connor & Kane played that goal out
Outstanding Goal tending by Smith! A Great output of effort by the Entire Team. The Hat Trick by the Lines with Kane were the Icing on The 🎂🍰 Tonite. Great Win YEAH..
McDavid is ridiculous.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kane baby !! Glad he's doing good . Frig it's so awesome
Talk about a great redemption story for Kane.
Canucks fan here. Really want McDavid to show his stuff, and very happy for Kane. He's had a rough couple of years and its great to see him contribute in such a significant way.

Love the smoke blasters the oilers added👌

It would have been better if they shot orange smoke out of them. In F1 racing. Vastapan in Netherlands, they had orange smoke shooting out of those blasters
Surprised the Looch game misconduct isn't in this. C'mon Sportsnet I wanna see the rough stuff!
It's after games like this I wonder what Daryl says behind closed doors 🤔. Since Daryl has been back behind our bench, he constantly says these players and organization "have a lot to learn and bad habits that I'm trying to change". I hope these players can find a way to dig deep and at least make this series competitive. Its not so much that they lost, it's how. Get it together guys. GFG 🔥
As a Sharks fan, I want to see Kane lift the cup. I miss the conversations I had with him before practices, even when he had to run in (almost always.)

@@jackroberts8108 more what? Evander was always showing up for practice with at best 2 minutes to spare from being late. The way I saw it is he had a lot going on at home and that caused his delays in getting to work. I speak from experience there. At any rate, when he did arrive earlier, he would converse with us (team services, we protected the players.)

I want seven games💯
From this lifelong Penguins fan. Connor McDavid alone is worth the price of admission. WOW!!!!
That line is dangerous and they showed tonight, no one carries the puck like Conner, he's so slick and quick, if he gets a step it's tough to defend.
Bro McDavid is so good😭👏👏
Mcdavid, Drai, Kane were sooooo insane,,,like dudeeeeeeee

I never thought about this before, but I now think the Oilers have a legitimate chance at the Stanley Cup.

Ko Kane was clearly on some of Columbia’s finest tonight! The man was on a mission and was unstoppable!! I hope he has enough left over for the remainder of this series and can get more for the Cup run!!
