Ya know, as a Flames Fan, it makes it all the more ironic that Utah’s ownership said “You can’t boo us yet, we haven’t done anything” and then proceeded to make a mortal enemy with the entirety of Flames Nation

Guerin and his staff have drafted really well in the last several years. The only questionable pick was last year with Charlie Stramel where they preferred getting the big center to hopefully be their #3 in several years. Disappointing season this year at Wisconsin, but we'll see what happens in a few years. Rossi, Khusnutdinov, Wallstedt, Ohgren, Yurov, Heidt, and now Buium and Richie. The goofy stuff that Guerin does is signing depth veterans to 4+ years. I don't hear many fans outside of last year complaining about his drafts.

Honestly very valid points! I was definitely trying to channel a bit of the doom and gloom I see from Wild fans but I think you are right! It's largely from the goofy signings as opposed to the draft! Will definitely keep it in mind moving forward

I do like the Kraken a lot but beyond the Kings and Pens, I cheer for other teams more casually! I definitely love learning more from fans though! Especially a team with so many funny quirks like Seattle (the Adam Larsson bowl cut shirt was one of my favorite jokes of last season haha)
