I think this is a good game for kids just learning football. It has the added educational benefit of helping with simple math calculations. I can see this game being in the back of a 3rd grade classroom for free time. Kicking the ball reminds me of the line from "A Christmas Story": you'll shoot (kick) your eye out! 🙂🏈

I just can't get any lift on the ball with that kicking gimmick. I've had more success just flicking it with my thumb and finger, but of course that game already exists, and you might as well just use a paper football. I like the concept of the play cards more than anything else.

Very simple, but the cards showing the formations is a neat idea. Turn over and see if successful play or not.

Thank you for your video. Being a fan I have a lot of football board games, including 3 different Tudor NFL strategy (one called NFL quarterback, one called NFL game plan) and this game recall me that kind of Tudor game. Of course is a very simple child game but it own 2 special ideas I may incorporated in my tudor solitaire game play: A) the big play cards. NFL strategy is a simmetric game thus all the teams are equal. With power play cards I may include some advantage to better team against lower team and even some specific playmaker (a running qb, a great after the catch receiver, a power runner , a great defense) and B) the offensive Look. As you see in this game defense can choose a card from the same deck choosen by the offense. And that for a obvious reason: if the offense use 3 WR and the shot gun formation 90% it is going to pass. If the offense has 2 TE and 2 RB is likely to run. So I would think I will group NFL strategy cards for formation to use a similar selection. In conclusion this game sure was designed for child play but it has a lot of potential. Even the way no clock is included counting team drives Speeds up a lot the play. One has only to determine how many drive for quarter. The FG play has indeed to be replaced by a statistical die - maybe a 12 sided die

Me and step son love this game. Except we changed it up we don’t call the formation like the game says, we just pick at random like actual coaches and I try and get him to be observant on the play types in certain situations on offense or defense. He loves it and is freakishly good and he’s only 6 lol

I follow al the rules except the big play cards.....when it comes to those i shuffle the deck between the offence and defence and and give out four random cards face down between me and my opponent and use those for those for the first half and when the second half starts i dont the same thing again.......i do this because i feel each team doesent have enough big play cards...i think each card has their own big play cards so u can use other teams......but i do love the game!!!!

Nice game! What I do is play the first 3 quarters as instructed but I play the 4th.Qtr using a 7min and 30sec running clock the last 2min of the game I stop the clock on incompletions and moving the chains I implement this due to at times you may be behind in the 4th.Qtr. with absolutely no chance of winning.
