    @@johnofmaltaThat's fine. He's not going to get any coaching at the next level though. It's all big picture in the NFL. I do find it amusing how this guy is supposedly a sure fire top 10 pick, but if he had gone back to school one more year, he might not have been? Barring catastrophic injury, which could happen at any moment, this makes very little sense to me; and it suggests that he's going to be a massive bust anyway.

    This guy is the only one who is totally down on Maye, everybody "watched the tape" and all of them are saying he's number 2 or 3. Someone like Nix isn't even a guaranteed 1st rounder but Chris Simms has him ahead of Maye. This really reminds me of his evaluation of Fields. He had all the trust in guys like Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Mac Jones, even freakin Kellen Mond, but Fields wasn't even a first rounder in his opinion.

  • @BuddyChy

    @BuddyChy

    2 ай бұрын

    He hasn’t necessarily been wrong about Fields either, but you’re wrong about Lance. He had Lance behind Fields. We also can’t pretend that everyone else didn’t also have Zach Wilson either 2 or 3. He’s the only one that gets hate because he had him one spot too high. Mac Jones has arguably been better than Fields this far as well, at least in totality. Trevor Lawrence was the only good QB that draft. The ranking behind that pre draft doesn’t really matter anymore. Prospects were evaluated much closer together than people want to believe or remember. The exact order. Is less important.

    When I watched some of his tape, I have seen some of the issues he says about him. His mechanics and accuracy bother me, and I didn't see a QB that was second pick in the draft good. That being said, putting him at 6 is a bit of an overcorrection. I mean, Penix has his issues as well. I think his ceiling is higher than Nix. McCarthy seems to be a projection based on what he was asked to do at Michigan.

    You don't draft any of these guys because of what they are right now. It's all about what they have the potential to be. If Jayden Daniels never improves beyond who he was last year at LSU then his career will be over very quickly. Drake Maye is a 21 year old 6 foot 4 inch 220lb, athletic QB with a strong arm. Given time to develop his potential far exceeds many QBs taken over the past few years.

    @@dannytatum7766He had one single bad year. He also won the job as a starting freshman at ASU. 17tds vs 2 int as a true freshman. He also beat Herbert and the no. 6 ranked Oregon as a true freshman. Maye couldn’t beat out Howell as a freshman and had to sit. But keep going on about how bad he was.

    Chris you are way off on this one. You are picking two 24 year old one year wonders with loaded talent around them over 21 year old Drake Maye with arm talent and athleticism in spades? Yes, he made some bad throws and will be inconsistent as a rookie but he will be the next Josh Allen/Justin Herbert. Go watch his last years tape with a few decent receivers and slightly better o-line play. Also, his defense was atrocious and he had to single handedly will his team to victory every single game. If they didn’t score they were gonna lose.

    @JohnAC4 He steps back and throws the ball , or he rolls out, he never had to slide,, all he did was throw from s protected pocket. 95% of hisxtgrows look the same exact way. Every throw every game every draftable QB. Show me the throw. He is 100% stationary or he rolls out right, he NEVER moves within the pocket.
