This is such a common take for casual fans, what you don’t understand is mahomes is the most generationally different qb in the way he plays the game and is changing the way the position in plays by showing what is possible. It is very similar to Steph curry in impact. When you’re watching other QBs implement what mahomes has brought to the game it reminds you of how guys like dame lillard and harden started chucking up more 3s once they saw what curry was doing.

Change your play speed to 0.25, you can see he literally makes no attempt to wrap him and tackle him/bring him down at all. Just throws a bs shoulder (not even into him, just glides right passed him. Mahomes is just that fast, agile and godly I guess)
