When NF recorded this he kicked everyone out of the studio so the ending and everything is real. I try to watch the reactions when my boyfriend isn’t around because both of his parents died similarly. So I’m always way behind on listening to reactions. He likes NF but he only heard this song once and that was enough. Edit: my favorite NF will always be intro III because it’s such a dope concept but this song gets me every time. This song is so emotional, it made me cry my eyes out. I can relate to his emotions in a different way my dad has never been there for me and my little sister or my mum. And he said that he wants DNA tests because he doesn't think we're his. But it isn't true we are and you can tell that we're his. My Grandad was always there for me and my little sister and just bearing mind he was 56, he died last year in April of Cancer and a double stroke, it only happened a few days later as me and my sister was sleeping over at my grandma and grandads. Anyway all I'm saying is that I can really feel every word he is singing/rapping. Xx Also I have a youtune account and I am new would appreciate some new subs

I’m sorry NF.😭😭😭😭 well all try to get through this together.

It’s his voice, he can speak so simply but the way he speaks it really does cut deep. People compare him to Eminem and I guess when you start off they have to compare you to someone because they don’t know you yet but it took me two of his songs to separate him and recognize him as a whole artist on his own. Love him and Eminem, they’re both amazing.

He was alone recording at the end. He’s a Christian and doesn’t cuss in video. He can sing. A lot of his songs is him singing with pitch adjustments to make him sound female (like in Remember This). Perception NF is the stage name of rapper and composer Nate Feuerstein, whose raw emotions and honest lyrics helped him storm the upper reaches of the charts with his third album, Perception. Feuerstein endured a hardship-filled childhood in which his parents divorced, his mother's boyfriend physically abused him, and his mother eventually killed herself. Music was his escape, and he began recording songs on a karaoke machine, with instrumentals on one microphone and his raps in the other. Feuerstein independently released his debut album, Moments, in 2010. The album attracted the attention of Xist Music, which signed him to a recording deal in 2012, by which time he had taken on the stage name NF. The label announced the release of an EP that same year, but it never appeared, and NF and Xist parted ways.s. Mansion NF spent the next two years looking for a label and working with local producer Tommee Profitt in his studio; they eventually came up with "Wake Up." The song prompted a self-titled EP late in the summer of 2014, including a Manny Marroquin remix of "Wake Up." His debut album, Mansion, was released in early 2015, and reached number 62 on the Billboard 200. The aptly titled Therapy Session followed in 2016, topping the Rap Albums chart and almost reaching the overall Top Ten. The following summer saw the release of the singles "Outro" and "Green Lights." Both were included on his third studio long-player, Perception, which dropped later that October and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. The album's biggest hit turned out to be its third single, the ubiquitous radio staple "Let You Down," which topped both the Mainstream Top 40 and Christian Songs charts, peaking just outside the Hot 100. (I copied and pasted so sorry for the mistakes)

Im sure someone already said it but from I gather heres the story. Nf had a hard childhood and he raps about it all in his music. This particular one is of his mother, as you can tell. From what I can tell is it is true, his mother was addicted to pills as he was a child she passed away when he was avojt 19 but wasnt around all the tims when he was a child either because of her addiction. The crying in the video is actuary him, the ending where he is speaking to his mother is an actual conversation he was having, recording this track got him so emotional he asked everybody in the studio to leace while he had this conversation with his mother, he was still recording but it was all feelings

The sad truth is when he preforms this song live he has the audio in the background because he sometimes breaks down and u can see he’s physically upset and by the end he’s in tears and actually he got so upset when recording that he had everyone in. The booth leave and they left t But kept it recording and the ending is all raw from the inside

Just FYI to anyone that doesnt know. This story is very real and that last bit at the end was real as well. Nate kicked everyone in the studio out and he finished the song by him self in the studio

If you read this, it is his story, it was NF singing, the crying throughout the track is him and was real and recorded during him trying not record this song. And the end is real they just let the take keep going as he said all that and they left it in the song

NF's motto is "Real music till the day I die." His music is about his own experiences, he won't put out a song that he can't feel. ALSO his music tells a story, he likes to make references to his older songs. I recommend watching them in order. Intro Mansion Notepad Intro 2 Therapy Session How could you leave us Real Warm up Intro 3 Outcast Let you down Outro Why

It’s 100% a real story. It’s basically the story of his life. You can hear it in his voice and he’s talked about it a few times. The last part he recorded alone in the studio. He waited until everybody was gone. It was too emotional. Also, the person singing is also him.

You should definitely check out the title track from that album, Therapy Session, cuz it's a great song and you'll understand him even more after listening to it.
