Would love to see the install guide you mentioned. I so wish someone would release a modern equivalent of this tablet. The size and weight were the sweet spot for me. I've had some way more expensive Samsung tablets since but always find them too heavy when using as an eReader. iPad mini looks great but not for the price Apple want.

Yep, I'll try to make a video about how to install it but don't want to install it again. I'll see how I can put this up 😊 I totally agree with you, there is no modern equivalent. I love it as a kind of full android "Kindle" tablet if you see what I mean 👍 and Hate the fact that devices are made obsolete by planned software obsolescence...

Totally need to do this. Please help me out. My screen isn't working at the moment but i plan on opening it up to fix it. I know it's the cable. I replaced the battery. Anyway, i wanna have mine on At least android 10 if possible. I jus want it as snappy as os6 which I'm on now android 6.0.1 please help me or point me in the right direction

Thanks ! I have 2 Nexus 7 (2012) :-) The method will work but you can only put Android 7 on the Nexus 7 (2012). To download the files, you can see here : xdaforums.com/t/guide-tutorial-howto-google-nexus-7-2012-stock-to-android-7-1.4236959/ I it helped, don't forget to sub :-)

It works for some people, for others it doesn't work

Thanks! It's normal if you didn't use it for a long long time. Try plugging it in for a few hours and try to turn it on after. It worked for my 2 old Nexus 7 2012. Agreed, it's awesome! If you're interested, stay tuned and subscribe, I may have more content on this little bad boy in the future 👍

Ah too bad. Your battery must be dead. It's someting like 13,99$ shorturl.at/hyBJY Or you can still try to plug it sometime to see if you could revive it. Try powering it with an extra long press on the power button. You could use it for KZread or Media Content or as Car Tablet for example ^^

Mine didn't turn on, didn't charge. Then I replaced the usb port. Now it works like a dream!

@@kierenkd It's most likely the usb port. That happened to mine. I plugged in overnight, many days. replaced battery. nothing. then i replaced the usb port and now it works!

Yes it depends, using some particular Gapps or with some particular devices, it works but for me too. I use it without Gapps.

Honestly i still have it on android 6.0.1

@@TechNbags c’est pas étonnant en voyant la marque qu’il a fait et Google qui gère l’OS on pouvait pas espérer mieux, c’est du très costaud, pas étonnant que je suis resté sur pixel même quand nexus était fini Je n’ai eu aucun problème, et je trouve que c’est vraiment très costaud dans les années
