Next to Normal osoittaa, että perheen täytyy pitää yhtä. Mutta kuinka korjataan rikkinäinen ihminen?
Esitys vie keskelle yhden perheen arkea, jossa perheenjäsenten ongelmat ja vaietut asiat vievät heitä kauemmas toisistaan. Isä, äiti ja teini-ikäinen tytär ovat kaikki yhdessä yksin. Mitä tarvitaan, jotta he löytävät toisensa?

    I'd love to hear some full audios from this, before I can 'pass judgement' so to speak. I'm intrigued, and I really like what they've done with the set, and they sound really good!!

    Fascinating...for "I'm Alive," they borrowed a bit from the stage directions in the book--the script, pretty much. Originally, Gabe was supposed to actually be in Dr. Madden's office. He's supposed to be circling Dr. Madden and Diana as they sit there. (pps 40-43) I have to admit, though--I don't like the way Helinski!Gabe directly messes with Dr. Madden's chair like that. Takes away a lot of the ambiguity with Gabe, which is a shame. :(
