@@masonrains5010 I can assure you it takes more effort to split locust with this axe but it can be done. The easy way to split locust is with a .500 Magnum round. That works too.

To keep your axe blade from hitting the ground and dulling, try chopping on a wooden block.

that particular axe was probably invented in québec in the late 60's

I used one back in the early 90s my dad had one it does work well.

Ive had this axe for over 30 years, still works great!

That's insane. I have a wood splitter but love to use a regular axe. Exercise is good. But wet wood is a nightmare and this could be a clever solution. I need this.

As a kid we had a choice use a sledgehammer and a splitter 50 lb log splitter ax or we had one just like this it actually did pretty good
