Where I live I don't have Nextgen. if so I have to order online and wait for a few days or weeks. if the only difference is IOS support and everything else is the same I instead get OBDPro. thank you.

Thanks for the info..Question...if you use the apps to make changes, can you revert the changes back with the app as well? The app history only shows the change made as old value off new value on but doesnt show what coding changes were made to which module? Thanks for your time.

Nothing you do using this device will void warranty. Tuning your cars ecu/tcu will though.

Looking to do some long coding on a ‘14 TDI Touareg with respect to the audio head unit. Apparently the sound EQ settings for the premium Dynaudio are imbedded, just needs LC’ing to activate. I wonder if OBD11 will allow me to do this? Thoughts? Thxs. Informative video, subbed.

I was able to do this with my OBD11 on my '12 Touareg.

I have change increase engine responsiveness and now cruise control doesn’t work i try to follow the instructions on your old video but when i change the long coding to 09 it will work but setting will go back to volkswagen

Ive got the obdeleven pro next gen for my 19’ GTI TCR but the problem is I can’t load adaptation menu... this thing just keeps on spinning that white circle but eventually nothing happens. Internet on phone while programming. After that all changes save in the car canbus coding.

Yes it was, it’s unlikely you’ll find the older version new but there might still be some old stock around.

IOS used to work on the old one. They did this so you have to upgrade to the new one.

Does Android have more apps then Apple?

Would this be worth getting for a MKIV R32? While it would do the basic diagnostic stuff, I don't think there's much to customize on a MKIV, right?

MKIV doesn’t have canbus so there isn’t a lot to do. MKV is when every system became networked.

Have you found out a way to make carplay tracks show up in the virtual carplay (audio for me currently just says carplay)

@@theoneandonlybosable I saw on a different video I think it’s an issue with apple/google - CarPlay and android auto is basically screen sharing to the cars screen and not sending much info such as song information for the car to display on the dash

Hi there, out of interest - Once you use credits to "unlock" a feature on one car, do you need to pay to unlock the feature on another car? If they are the same type of vehicle? its it VIN dependent or make and model. love the channel! thanks

Yes you actually have to pay to turn the feature off as well I believe

If you have no need for manual long coding then regular is enough I think, but check if you can use regular on multiple vehicles. The pro has gone subscription based now, everything has changed a bit since I made these videos.

When you were running this you were on LTE with just 2 bars sometimes 1 bar. You need to be doing this on WIFI.

I'm still not sure if it's my ROM con based tune blocking reading, or if it was slow internet that day. I need to do more testing and I'll show the results later. I wasn't getting the info I normally do, adaption lists wouldn't load and I didn't think that needs internet to do, maybe it does.

Can this erase some of the service codes.

Something you should know is that OBDeleven has also changed to a Subscription model for Pro long coding as of 2021. So… now it’s VCDS if you want a pay once system for pro level canbus coding. But it’s not as user friendly IMO.

You shouldn’t add any programming to ur car while engine is running 😮

Let's see if they can counter Audis function on demand system. Gonna charge people full whack for a vehicle then ask them to pay more for features already on the car.

Is that a 2021+ new thing? Ive not had access to a 2021+ new VW or Audi yet but I wonder how changed the system is. The new internal VW software is likely incompatible but I don't know. Canbus long coding has been available on 06-21 VWs and Audis in north america.

I’ve never had a problem. One press start/stop no brake is ignition on. OBD device plugged in and connected to app. Should be good to go then.

When NextGen first came out it didn't have full pro long coding/adaptions working in iOS. Pro in iOS is fairly new at time of recording, yes the nextgen device has been available for aprox 1 year.

So my pro pack didn’t come with any credits even in my email… wtf is the point of spending $100 on something that doesn’t do shit or makes no sense. Mine on iOS says slide to write for long coding yet I cannot find any info what this would do. Terrible terrible terrible product!

Did you sign into the app yet? You ususally get credits when you do. Things have changed for pro, now it’s a subscription you should have some info about that from your purchase.

This does everything VCDS can do and more. I used to use VCDS but have not touched it since getting OBDeleven with Pro access long coding.

For VCDS you need a tablet or laptop. This works on a mobile phone. 🙂

Carista does the same things waaayyy cheaper and always was on iphone . Over priced obd11

Carista doesn’t have manual long coding or adaptations. That’s the major reason OBDeleven is more useful, and no timed subscriptions. I’ve tested both, and others.
