Let's be fair: Maze runner has te best cast ever. Everybody in the movie fits so perfectly with the character, but Thomas Sangster was the best choice ever. He is a such underrated actor, and deserves so much more. He is the perfect Newt, and will be alive forever in ours hearts ❤🥺⭐

ive always thought about thomas’ life after they got to the safe haven. he lost everyone he cared about most. first chuck. newt. and teresa. those three meant the world to him. thomas wasn’t ready to lose newt. he wasn’t ready to lose teresa. he told himself he had newt, as long as he had newt, he was okay. like after teresa betrayed them thomas had to except life without her. he had newt to comfort him. he was around newt the most, his best friend. and after he dies he realized he, himself was the cure. imagine knowing every day of your life you could’ve saved your bestfriend. because that, is what thomas went though.

newts death had to be the worst for me, i felt connected with that character, and seeing him leave felt real, not like any movie. knowing that one day we would all have our time to go, scared me. but listening to newts note made me not only realize that when you pass away its not you leaving but you letting go, i'm not afraid anymore, in fact i'm rather relived. And now when i watch the maze runner i don't cry, because I know there are meanings to all of the characters deaths, and that it was really just there time to go..

You didn't have to break my heart even more after watching Death cue. 😭 but the way he said "we started this together, may as well end it that way too." it ended... just not in the way anyone would have wanted, but what makes me the most sad, is that Newt never got to say goodbye; to his sister, to all his friends. He was only able to say goodbye to Thomas, and that was enough for him.

But from that moment you ran into the Maze, I knew I would follow you anywhere. And I have. We all have. If I could do it all over again, I would. But this edit is awesome congratulations

I just rewatched it. And before the 10 seconds I already cried. WHY DO THE BEST CHARACTERS ALWAYS HAVE TO DIE?

Newt’s death was the only scene in any movie I’ve cried over.

I can proudly say that I watched this movie twice in theaters and I cried like a baby both times during newts death and when Thomas read newts letter at the end of the movie.
