I was a bit surprised at the poor bass performance from the Terrain XL. I had a pair of Skullcandy Crusher 360's a few years back and those had some crazy haptic bass. To be totally blunt, I don't think this Terrain XL is even worth $25. There is nothing about the sound of the speaker I find pleasing. I've heard $25 speakers that sound better, such as the Tribit Surf, which I believe I paid like $18 for. That was a couple of years ago, however.

Yes some speakers sound like in an echo chamber as well as being muffed as well. Great review Jat!

This was a great video review. However I completely disagree with your findings. I am a Bluetooth speaker collector. I have over 40 Bluetooth speakers from many brands. I have this SKULLCANDY TERRAIN XL and I love it. It doesn't sound nearly as good as my JBL CHARGE 5 for example but it does great

​@@royalhoward2882not sure what this terrain XL sells for now, but it was $80 when I made this video. It's a mediocre speaker and certainly not worth that price by any stretch. For this show and price range, no way in the world I would ever recommend the Terrain XL. The W-King D320 walks all over it.

Do you think there is much difference in sound quality between jbl flip 6 and tozo PA1, so is there a sound quality difference worth paying the price difference, if not, I will buy tozo pa1

The Flip 6 definitely has a fuller and higher quality sound. The Tozo was $36 bucks when I bought it which was just less than a week before I made this video. I look now and it's currently $54 after coupon. I wouldn't buy it for $54. At $36 it's a good, low cost option, but you would have to decide if it's worth the extra $$ to get the Flip 6 at $99.

Black Friday deal....the Tozo is 34 bucks and some change. Such a great deal.

I've never found a skull candy product that for the price can compare to something from a different company. Jbl is by far the way to go with Bluetooth speakers and headphones at a modest price tag imo. Thank you for your review!

Just backs up everything I've always said about Skullcandy. They're not a good audio company.

I’m sorry I really in my personal opinion. I will only use Skullcandy. I’ve used them since 2001 and also you c can pair the mini small and XL together.

What is the difference between the Skullcandy XL and the Skullcandy XLXT ? Both are Terrain speakers.

If you are looking at walmart.com, I think they just have it mislabeled. The XL is a speaker, but not XLXT. There is a Terrain XL, Terrain and Terrain Mini.

Actually it is the TERRAIN XL the added XT is inclusive to Walmart. That's why Walmart calls it SKULLCANDY TERRAIN XL XT.

I have to disagree with you. Try full charging it first it sounds so much better. Idk about this but I had these Skullcandy headphones extra bass. At first they had no bass at all. After a while the bass started to kick in. There my favorite now Also these speakers only range between 40 to 80 dollars And multiple speakers can be connected up to 99 they say.

It was fully charged for the video and if the battery is say 89% it makes no difference in sound. 😆 For $80 the Terrain XL is a poor option 😞

@@JaysStraightUpReviews it does if it's say 100%. Trust me. Maybe yours is stuck in DUT mode. Try hold the - and + for 10 seconds with full charge.

I will say the Terrain XL is a better speaker than the awful Doss E-GO III I recently did a video on. The E-Go is a $20 speaker, however.

Folks, this TOZO speaker is unlike anything you ever heard.. I’m serious esp when you pair 2 together, OMG.. It’s like your waking into a surround sound theater.. oh and I forgot to mention this TOZO speaker has 1500 reviews on Amazon at 5 STARS I’ve NEVER seen ANY product on Amazon with that many reviews and get 5 stars trust me the everyone is right

Watchin this on my scull Candy sech anc and gotta say the terrain is really disappointing but i think and hope well see some decent ones by scullcandy. Also i got my 110 6 days ago for only 279€ yoir review was part in my decision and i gotta sa how in the actual f*** do you get it indoors to 80 % i can barely get it above 30%

Indoors the 110 will rock a room for sure. 😂 I'm not sure what Skullcandy was thinking when they created this Terrain line of speakers. The performance certainly doesn't make it worth a buy when there are so many other speakers out there for similar price that sound better.

@@JaysStraightUpReviews yea from a brand like SC I just would have expected more. I hope they'll get on track soon with some decent speakers. It's kind of a weir thinking process but what if the just used there crusher drivers because those headphonesdrivers have f****** amazing bass but if you turn them up all the way and listen to them without them being on your head it all sound s crappy and with no nass. They just needed to make them louder and that's where we get the distorted mess.

Bugani m90 for 40 bucks is better than all 3
