I have a Flip 4 and really like it. I need more volume when riding on scooter and need a tether too. Does the Flip 6 play louder (specs say 16W Flip 4 versus 30w Flip 6) or should I try to figure a way to tether a charge?

Hi, good video. :) If they said that the speaker hold 30 min under the water, you have tested the Flip 6 to let it in the rain for 2-3 hours?

Solid review--thanks! I am about to pull the trigger on one of these. I was also considering an Amler Motion Boom, but am leaning towards the Flip 6, for the smaller form factor. That is important because I will mainly be using it for camping, and will occasionally be putting it in a loaded backpack. Re that, I have a question--the side passive radiators have no grill. How vulnerable to damage are those little woofer cones? I am considering to add a carrying case in my order. What do you think--necessary or not?

Not venerable at all i have a flip 4 and it has zero damage to side speakers and I use to use it on my kayak while fishing...I upgraded to a hyrda boom for 1 day and returned that for a flip 6

@@thatfishingdude9356 Okay--thanks. I have had the Flip 6 for several months now, and it is standing up well. Only downside is kinda short battery life. That doesn't bother me, as I carry along power bank. The sound quality is quite decent in my opinion. I consider it a good buy. A little pricey--but seems to be a quality component.

Is it possible that if I do not using device for 10-15 minutes, bluetooth goes off, and the only way to turn it back on is to take device and do it mannualy

as long as the speaker is still on, bluetooth should reconnect automatically if you aren't using the speaker for 10-15 minutes

you forgot to mention that it can be paired with a 2nd flip 6 and use it in Stereo mode (L & R)

Yes. The speaker is really good compared to its size. But as per price.. (in India) its... just 🆗

I got a jbl boombox in my backseat, just bought this for the front, best improvised soundsystem!!!! ... also can bring them in the house for movies... 550 dollar top tier surround sound package

So. A good kitchen speaker? NO AUX?

Haha, yes it's meant to connect via bluetooth, but there are usb c to aux cables you could try (haven't tried it myself, but it might work)

Bluetooth is never the “right” way to listen to music. Sometimes it’s the best way for a situation but it will never sound as good as a wired connection with a good two channel system and well-tuned bass.

No, it's defnitely directional.

No their battery life hours are at playing music at 50% volume

No Aux 😮

I just listened to it. It stounds worse than my laptop. There is no detail. Its just a muddy box sound that lacks any dynamic range. It doesn't even deserve any mention as a 'choice' of portable speakers. It should be relegated to "sounds like an old video camera". The only benefit is that it has some volume. Trust me when I say this though - your mobile - samsung s7 sounds better than this.

​​​@@luegardener5921No, I can just tell the difference between a warm, open, expressive, dynamic speaker with harmonic tuneful sound, compared to a non deserving loud cheap speaker metal box. Its the difference between listening with your ears inside water compared to a live instrument its that obvious. Cost is not an issue. Its that it has no place being described as anything but a cheap radio sound that can blast some volume. Like I said - your 2nd hand mobile will sound better - samsung s7 even despite no bass depth. I'm no audiophile but listen to an eris 5 monitor (£100 a pair) or q accoustics 3020 with or without i and an old decent dac amplifier - strdn1030 + or twin apollo will help you tell the difference. I know these are not portable speaker systems but after you've heard them you will not want to listen to such harshness as comes out of this little waste of money.

​@@grangermacyNo. I just have ears that can discern a reasonable quality level. Like most car speakers sound subpar. Now I have listened to two other portable bluetooth speakers since that sound adequate (good for their size) - bose resolve 2 and minirig 3.

You're exaggerating and being dramatic 😂 It isn't the best bt speaker but it is one of the best. There are countless brands and options.

JBL speaker sucks some phones can't connect to Bluetooth on I phone it sounds stutters like a scratched CD. Won't connect or show up on my phone lol 😂 I wasted money. Don't buy it. I connect to the more expensive one. But damn this sucks. The Bluetooth chip or card is supper low end. And everything interferes with the signal. Buy another brand.

Either 1. Your JBL is damaged or it is fake 2. Restart your Phone I have used my Charge 4 for 3 years and still going strong and no problems like you mentioned. Charge 5 i bought in 2021 and still going strong and no problems like you mentioned. Bought to purchase Flip 6 or Xtreme 3
