Story: NewJeans are aliens. They are on earth and interact with humans. They have a hideout on the airport. They all have their own powers. For example Hanni can clone herself (we see three Hanni's in the beginning of part.2) and Danielle can create storms. Haerin can control electricity. Hyein have a crush on the human boy in part. 1. But we see that Minji take the boy away from Hyein. In part.2 we can see how Minji taking care of Hyein and warns her to be close (emotionally) to humans. In the beginning of part.2 we also see how Hanni telling Minji that she doesn't like to be on earth beacuse they are different. What if the humans figure it out. This MV and "How Sweet" MV tell us almost the same thing. NewJeans see themselves as outsiders in Kpop. In How Sweet they are "The ugly duckling". That's why we see them from animals POV. Just like the story of "Ugly duckling". In this MV they are aliens(outsiders). Ador(Mee Hee-jin) and NewJeans goes their own way when it comes to music and how they see themselves in the Kpop world. Mee Hee-jin(CEO) have said that NewJeans are not idols. She told the girls that they should use this time, under her, to learn a lot of things. So they can be prepared to do other things when their contract(7 years) ends. She told them that this is like a school for them and that they are classmates

This song is such a bop and so replay worthy. 90's/ early 2000's is just that golden era of music.

Facts!

As someone who grew up down south in the 90s on hip-hop and R&B, I absolutely love NewJeans for bringing the 90s vibe back better than anyone else. This song was produced by Pharrell Williams and takes me back to Bell Biv DeVoe and New Jack Swing! Thanks for making this reaction! I would really recommend viewing the video put out by ADOR, "[Making Jeans] NewJeans (뉴진스) 'Supernatural' MV Behind...," because this video gives a lot of context, background, and highlights some of the most intriguing features of the Supernatural videos.

3:10 that's Hanni's voice, Hanni and Minji are the two most contrasting voices. To me, Hanni has the sweetest, softest voice while Minji has a deep, warm voice

I don't know why the captioning in the one part is in Spanish but it translates to "because everyone ends up leaving, even though I have made friends with others."

i didn't notice this until people started to point it out bc i speak both english and spanish and my brain must've not noticed the change LOL but i agree its weird that it randomly goes to spanish

First of all the actor in the mv is gorgeous, like i was jumpscared when he first came in lol. Second, retro sound has been overdone everywhere cause 90s 80s music is superior and theres nothing like nostalgia but they always go the synthwave route which is why a citypop/New Jack swing inspired track like this one(and the masterpiece that is "love again" by the dreamies) feels so fresh still. I was also very lost with the mv, havent analysed it enough but i noticed that even though these are japanese releases theres a nice percentage of korean(and english ofc)and the audio in part 2 sounded different laungage-wise(maybe full korean version??)idk but this might be my fav newjeans release

I actually noticed the little ad libs in there after a couple of listens and figured it was Pharrell lol. Love those added touches
