Someone said that all 6 of them had an accident and only the girl survived hence the cast. On the cast, one of the things written was 'don't die'. The only who who seemed to really want to reach out to her was the guy, and I think in the end, she really did move on with his help. On the last part of side B, the tape was an actual tape with the girls(when they were alive) that she treasured.

What I love about the MV is that it's so open ended , but depending on how we see it the lyrics hit different... It is so powerful. I also thought they might be imaginary, reminds me of Shutter Island which I literally just watched last night

The guy (Hyunwook Choi) and the girl (Jihu Park) are famous korean actors whom they were able to get a cameo of. (It's in the credits, haha) Both videos are cinematically amazing. They don't even look like a kpop mv. Ador is doing something amazing with their concept.

Right on, some people are reading too much into the MV. Fleeting memories of youth can make you feel nostalgic yet sad at the same time simply because you'll never get to experience that sense of youth again as you get older so they only live on as memories. I think the mv captured that perfectly.

The ending of side A gave me chills ngl but Ditto is so good, I personally enjoyed it.

my theory is that the camera summons newjeans’ spirits. they’re dead students that guard over heesoo. and when she rewatched the tape that came from THAT camera summoned them back. basically like a haunted camera also in the mv, they showed a deer, when a deer visits you that means you’re gonna have luck, grace, and a positive omen in your life the deer symbolizes being open and honest with those around you while still staying true to your own beliefs. heesoo’s beliefs were that newjeans were with her the whole time.

This is a fan song of Newjeans. The sixth girl took a video of the newjeans that became a ray of light in her depressed school days as a fan, but as time passed and she got older, she forgot about them. But she still have happy memories about singers and actors that I liked in school

for everyone who doesn't understand, the 6th person in this MV is us; bunnies. Everyday, we watch their content; vlives, variety shows, reels, mv's, and laugh over the funny compilations made by fans. Even though, some of us will never meet them, we are always by their sides, supporting them. In the first mv ( side A), it shows the perspective of normal people. They have no idea how Newjeans or kpop in general could change our lives, or at least make our day better. This MV is directed to us. Whenerver we're emotional, Newjeans is always here for us; making our day brighter. Plus, just yesterday Newjeans were doing vlive and Hanni told us that she hopes we can find some comfort in this song ♡

the girl who made the cameo is Park Jihu! She was the main lead actress in 'All of us are Dead'

All six were friends they were in a accident only the girl with a camera survived hence the cast in her arm. her recording nothing represents her not over their deaths and reminiscing and when she drops the camera means her coming to terms with the death of her friends (Newjeans). The boy I think saw that she was always lonely so he kinda snapped her out of it that’s why they r together at the end.

Here's my theory: This Heesoo is Newjeans' friend who survived a car accident; that's why her arm was broken; she felt too much guilt over her friend's death, so she was depressed and a little crazy. When she saw the deer, it was a sign that her friend in the afterlife wanted Heesoo to be cheerful again and forget about her guilt; that's when she decided to break her camera. At the beginning of side A and the end of side B video, Heesoo is seen wearing white clothes, indicating that she is an adult version of Heesoo, whose hand has healed, and wants to see her old video with Newjeans when she was in school.

Or the girl is not existing or dead. If you watch it from side B to side A order, minji drew the girl but then erased it in a ghost form. Also, when the guy drunk water in side A, on the perspective of the guy or camera angle of the guy the girl is not exiting he didn’t see the girl beside him drinking. So either the girl is imaging NJ or girl is already passed away and she and NJ are friends before.

At the end of Side A, the 6th member turned out to be filming nothing. NewJeans we’re like never there… kinda spooky😅

Ditto is slang for me too. So "say it ditto" just means say "me too", or say you reciprocate. The story is so confusing to me but one this is for sure, NewJeans has found their sound already. The song, the cinematography, the storyline (even if I can't put it together😭), the way they seem like they're actually having fun. This is just so different from the kpop I'm used to in the best way. I wouldn't be surprised if the start a trend of calmer title tracks/this type of sound/concept. My only theory is that it is her older at the end of side B/beginning of side A re watching videos from her past. But while most of the time Nostalgia is shown as a happy thing this video shows that it can also be said when you really miss those times. She's imagining herself in all of these situations just like when she was younger. It also further supports that their concept is based on Nostalgia. (Idk if that explains why NewJeans wasn't really there and it seems like she imagined them but it's the best I got😭 maybe it's because she's no longer in contact with her old friends? That can support sad Nostalgia.)

Ditto is basically saying the same thing as the previous person said/ opinion. So here the girl said “I don’t want to stay in the middle and I want you so” hoping he says “ditto” that he feels the same.

Yes, just like the old movie I've watched few months ago which is the "Ghost". Whenever she said I love you to her husband, her husband always responds "Ditto" which means "Me too" or "I love you too"

DItto means saying it again, bascially it's kinda like a copy, in the lyrics they want whoever they are talking to, to say the same thing they are saying. In side A it shows the mv it through the 6th girl's eyes, heesoo, it's revealed at the end she actually hasn't been filiming anyone the girls, new jeans, seem to be all in her head. If you watch it back you can see at the end it replays back all the parts where the girl was filiming where new jeans should be but they aren't actually there, it's just her smiling filming nothing. That's why the other students are just staring at her, there is nothing infront of her, she looks crazy. The deer could be representative of New Jeans which is why in Side B it finally leaves her alone after she chooses the guy because she grows out of her delusion, for eample her standing in the empty hall, her leaving new jeans in the rain. Later when she watches the tapes back she misses them and the fun they had so they come back. Actually i'm not sure if they come back or if she is just reliving the moment because not only do new jeans come through the door but the girl with the camera also comes through the door.

Fun fact: the girl whose recording them the whole time is Nam On-Jo from the All Of Us Are Dead series

Heesoo's presence is a fan, and he liked NewsGins. When it rains (when it's hard), fans get rained on together, comfort fans when they're arm and limb, and they're precious to each other when they're young, but the man behind shows a fan facing reality. Then throw away the video and leave (man = reality) I grew up... ...and then I grew older and took out the video again and realized it was a precious moment.

I think when she dropped that camera from roof I really felt it, well more than music NJ music releases will make me look for plot in coming releases. Also I had a happy surprise seeing 25-21 guy in this.

if i’m not mistaken ditto means to feel the same way. for example in the song the lyrics read “don’t want no riddle say it say it back oh say it ditto” as if they want the other person to feel the same as they do. kind of like when some people say “oh i ditto that.”

I don't know about the deer meaning but I've read this is dedicated to NewJeans fandom. Like this girl had a youth were she was accompanied with NewJeans members like in a fan perspective. Only the fans feels the presence of their idols and no one understands and see this kind of feeling. So maybe she was having a rough time in her youth but in the present or future she only remembers how that period of time was, like revealing her memories box. Don't know actually.

I still feel like the mv’s were meant to be open ended and for us bunnies to theorize what happened. Some think it was an accident and new jeans passed, some say that Heesoo represents us bunnies and others say that the movie “Ditto” inspired it. Personally when i see these theories, i feel like they could all be tied together 😃 idk how but something about these theories feel related in a way like they’re not too far apart 😮

Ditto means “me too”. For example, if I said “I’m hungry”, you could say “ditto”. It’s an older slang term (from at least the 90s, maybe earlier), which fits with their retro concept. Within the context of the song I think they are expressing their feelings about someone and they want that person to say “ditto”, as in they want that person to reciprocate those feelings.
