That dog knows "Mom" is the only way he's getting to the park. He has to check in with Mom to be sure the girl wasn't offering something she couldn't provide. Smart dog - check with the bigger human before getting too excited. LOL!!!

It is just what they do. They’re pack animals. They have a leader. But even still it is amazing to see how well and accurately animals can work out the humans. They’re watching us. I suspect even more than we are watching them.

When she suggested hide and seek, Samson was like " You go ahead and hide somewhere, I'll be along eventually"

Big dogs are the best. Years ago I used to see a girl about 6 or 7 walking a St Bernard in the morning when I went for my run. That dog walked at her pace and was very gentle with her. It was so sweet. A dog is worth ten times more than a lot of humans on this earth.

The problem with a neufie is usually not, that a girl her size and weight can walk him to the park. The problem starts, when she tries to persuade him that it’s time to go home, while he is still rolling in the grass and won’t get up 🙈

My neighbor had a pit bull that would go to the hall closet, grab the door handle and turn it, take the leash off it's hook and take it to my neighbor and hold it and cry until my neighbor put it on him and took him out for a walk. This happened every day twice a day for years.

For 4 months i stayed with my bfs family in Seattle. Whenever i said Carkeek(Park) to their dog..it went berserk. Jumping up and down..omg. id grab the leash and she would run Mach 2 to the front door. We had such a great time together in the forest!!

I was born in nfld my brother in law raised these dogs as pups, their an amazing breed. Strong as heck and great swimmers, they were used as work dogs as well. They'd pull a sled in the winter and they loved working. Their beautiful dogs and are very loyal excellent with children more so than any breed. They have webbed feet, that is what makes them to become incredible swimmers. Some fishermen took these dogs fishing, if something were to happen, God forbid, the dog would rescue them no problem, cause the majority of fishermen long ago didn't know how to swim. They are as I said, super strong dogs, they can swim through rough waters while hauling a fishing boat. The only thing I personally didn't like about them is how much their mouths would drool especially if you were eating in front of them and they would drool like a river hoping for a snack...other than that their beautiful creatures. Btw no ones going to hurt that little girl at the park. That I know very much so. He will protect her to his death, from any predator.
