Glad it was helpful! I try to keep showing my "organization" to a minimum for fear of judgement. ;-) Seriously, though, it's just part of lowering stress; whether it's having what you need...or being able to FIND it!

I believe you covered it all Steve! I feel like now I need a 65 foot coach for all my storage needs! lol. Being full time does make a difference in how you set up your coach and after 10 plus years, I am still changing up on a semi regular bases. Not sure you ever get done with finding ways to make more storage or decide after a short time that I really didn't need that as bad as I thought!

Steve we use mineral oil in all the drains when going to storage. This eliminates the water evaporating and smells coming into the coach.

Great tips Steve, I use many of the same products, I love Aero Cosmetics Wash Wax All, the full kit is the way to go. I'm a 303 UV protectant fan as well. Here's a tip to mitigate the evaporation in the P-trips, I pore RV antifreeze down all the trips, this really helps slow down evaporation during storage not only in hot temperatures but very cold/dry temperatures. The evaporation rate using RV antifreeze is much slower. Safe Travels.

Great info. Thank-you. How do you keep your engine and engine bay so clean? Can that area be washed or just use common elbow grease and rags ?

Thank you for watching! My concept of engine cleaning is to be proactive; don’t let it get too dirty in the first place. This makes simple and mild cleaning products more effective. So, a simple pressure wash, then a mild degreaser, then major power degreaser; in that order. Most of the time, the first 1 or 2 steps is all that’s needed. Follow up with a DI RINSE and then some Detail spray for the shine parts. 👍

@@globemaster2356 as with every engine, you do have to exercise judgment when using high pressure water. You don’t want to force water INTO electrical components such as alternator, starter, etc. A gentle spray isn’t going to affect anything and I always run an engine afterwards to make sure components have a chance to dry out.

Great info as I am learning with a new Class A DP. The next thing I need to find out is I want to park it in my driveway from time to time on a temporary basis for washing, general maintenance, etc. just not sure if it will be too much weight. I have a permanent enclosed storage place close to our home.

Great video, we are looking to purchase a used Newell. Can one be stored without ac power? Anyway of reducing the 10 amp draw you mentioned?

Thank you, John. The unfortunate answer to your question of "can a Newell be stored without any power" is NO. While you CAN reduce the consumption from the reefer, there is so much other parasitic draw, that the only way to stop it is to kill both the chassis and the house disconnects. Now, the problem with that, is that you'll lose power to some electronic components, which many will say "who cares". However, you'll also lose power to the air compressor which supplies the coach with air to keep it level, as well as the seals inflated. But, here's the glimmer of hope; should you accept the mission. Newells DO have an auxiliary air inlet which can keep the coach "aired up". So, there is a chance of successfully killing all of the power, yet still have that critical air supply. But, the issue remains that you'll kill power to the electronics and, for that reason, Newell will not endorse this practice. Hope that helps you! Steve

Another great video. It’s refreshing to see how Californian maintain the rig without residing in RV resort. Another request if I may, can you make a video on annual recurring expense to enjoy this beautiful RV? It’s easy to estimate gas/ travel cost but how about the insurance,storage, maintenance etc. Thank you!
